That’s the thing. No one really drank a lot of bottled water in them days. They would use tap water like back in the uk but I believe it isn’t treated the same and then you would get “the shits” same in Turkey and similar place. In India they call it Dheli Belly 😂

Since I was a child there’s a common rhyme. “The water in Majorca don’t taste like it outa”. It’s referring to how in uk we can freely and without fear drink tap water and ice whereas as most brits take holidays in Spain or Spanish islands and the rhymes been around since the beginning of the 70’s when the the British summer invasions started. as a warning that you will get ill if you drink their tap water. Or open your mouth in the shower. We realise we’re lucky in uk but back then and to new young 1st timers. You have to buy bottled water and ask for drinks without ice. But wherever water hasn’t been cooked enough to kill bacteria you WILL get the 💩 💩 💩 from 💧 🧊 🚿 ! 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸✌🏻
@Gillzwheelz10 күн бұрын
TRUE I remember that. you have to say it right really Del Boy like. - like not pronouncing all the t’s. ‘The wahuer in mayorka don taste like it ough a!’ Now I think of it - didn’t it come from “only fools and horses” or used in one of their episodes???

Travel companies tell you not to drink the water in other countries or have ice in your drinks but to drink bottled water. It is not because their water is horrible it just has different microbes in it which we do not have say in the UK and this is what makes you ill.

Different countries have different flora and fauna. Takes the body a while to get used to it. But,with global travel as it is now,those germs are not as isolated as they were and it's likely the body has already met them.

Delhi Belly is different level. I was working in India (I was advised to use bottled water even to brush my teeth there) and lost about 3 stone (42 pounds) in weight in 10 weeks. A couple of friends came to visit for a week or two. We took a trip one weekend and had time to kill waiting for a train back to Delhi. A hotel opened up the bar for us while we were waiting. One of my friends had to go, she didn't fancy sitting on the seat so she hovered over it .... and she pebble dashed the wall behind her to about 6 feet high.

We have something here in Australia called Giardisis (or Giardia) .. a nasty flippin bacteria that most people don't have to worry about as its usually caused by a dead animal in the water supply.. and no one knows about the dead animal until you get a heap of people in the same town being diagnosed with Mickys 'rusty water'. you have to get antibiotics to fix it and if you don't .. its five seconds to a think and I will. Sometimes it involves vomiting. Sometimes you think you are safe and over it and go for a drive to the end of the road -and then turn back toward home doing 120 in a 60k zone to prevent pooping your pants. what a nightmare.

Dude, 70s travel in Europe was a mine field . Nowadays the filtration and sanitation of water is much better but it was a classic back then that you'd get the squits. But the way we Brits drink its still relevant that it doesn't matter where we go, the porcelain is still gonna get pebble dashed 🤣🤣🤣

I wonder if you'd like Sean Lock, he's the GOAT here in the UK. He's sadly missed. If you want very dark humour that usually blows minds in the US then check out Jimmy Carr and Franky Boyle. Also, its just being human, some stuff is out of our control like being damn ill. That's why it's so universally funny too though.

Just this week I was picking up some people from the airport and just after I parked the car I suddenly felt i needed to fart and I thought I'd help it by giving that extra push, and it happened. I had no choice but to get some tissues out of the car and, hiding between the parked cars, I had to wipe my arse there and then and i sprayed lots of deodorant down my trousers to cover any possible smell before I met my passengers at arrivals. Fortunately, I must have made a good job of cleaning up the mess, because my passengers gave no impression of smelling anything untoward, but I still felt so selfconscious just in case they for anyone else could see or smell anything.

Jim Jefferies, (spelling might be wrong), he has a special called Intolerant, or something like that. Lactose Intolerance is a big part of what he talks about... and I can confirm he spoke the truth on that particular subject. Also.... I had me an accident at work. Saw my friend and co-worker, taking care of business, knew I had a storm brewing in my belly, so... being the person that I am, I decided to nonchalantly walk past him, and... share the wealth as I went by. Turned out I did indeed have a storm brewing in my belly. Thought I was gonna unleash the thunder, and what actually got unleashed... was the lightning. It was... not my best day.
