My neighbor use to run (i dont mean train) with Dickie back in the day. He talks the same. We go to AA together and play cribbage. We both had our ups and plenty of downs. Its not a easy childhood being porr in New England, I dont care what frigin city it is Lowell to Bangor Hartford to Medford. Show some respect.

Ward Gatti Greatest trilogy ever!! Jim Lampley crying no one makes jim lampley cry no one only when talking about Ward and Gatti. RIP Arturo!! I am a huge boxing fan and I used to box..oranges in the chelsea produce market I could have been a contender??Micky ward although I never met always presents himself as a humble gentleman love to meet him one day maybe take a ride up to Lowell from Somerville one day or westofrd I believe is where he has a gym. Dickie did go the distance with one of the greatest to do it in the fight game. Whether or not he knocked leonard down or tripped thats up to you, Dickie still went the distance. Heart, Heart, Heart and the size of the fight in the dog is what most of it takes I believe for any fighter. Great movie top 5 for me all time.

I was behind the bar on the floor this night slinging drinks it got so crazy at one point Micky came behind our bar to get a break from the crowd which was very demanding of his attention and he’s just a normal guy.

@jaypballer1 I agree with you completely. I've read the ORIGINAL screen play and 2 books on mickey's fights and career and actually life over like, all 40 years. He's AMAZINGLY articulate. And he's also probably a little drunk here. It's like, the only drug he hasn't/refused to stop lol.

dickie was a very good boxer. its a great shame the evil poison that is drugs took its grip on a guy who fought a very competitive fight with perhaps the greatest middleweight in history!! also he trained micky ward, his brother who gave us the most exciting trilogy with arturo gatti that i personally have ever seen. not the biggest known fighters of all time but a pair of the most durable boxers in boxing. they had great ability, great respect for eachother and huge guts/heart. r.i.p arturo

People are makin fun of the real Dickie on youtube. My neighbor use to run (i dont mean train) with Dickie back in the day. Hes told me stories from the movie before it came out and some I will never repeat. He talks the same. We go to AA together and play cribbage. We both had our ups and plenty of downs. Its not a easy childhood being porr in New England, I dont care what frigin city it is Lowell to Bangor Hartford to Medford. Show some respect.

Don't be angry about those making fun of Dickie! Who are they.what have they ever done? Nothing! This is the only way they can grab any attention! They are pathetic!
