Spring trout stocking is still well underway so I took advantage of some recent hatchery Rainbow Trout plants at a nearby lake to test out some new micro-crankbaits. Initially I struggled so switched up challenges that proved not so challenging before returning to the little crankbaits again.

I had the same problem with the same micro crank baits. I’ve found using a loop knot to give it more freedom and retrieving slowly fixes it.

Those micro cranks are great when panfish are hitting on the surface, I fish it like a popper. They are bluegill and crappie killers, here in Wisconsin.

“Oh my gawd they luv it” 🤣 I was into them thick while trolling on opening day so I stopped to cast and retrieve. It was so much fun and I worked my way through all kinds of different spoons and spinners in my tackle box. Man I as having a blast!

Last master is killer. We troll with them all the time. Between my fishing partner and I we caught 120 fish on Kastmasters on Horseshoe lake a few weeks back. Love your videos.

Those are cool little lures. Not sure why they only stock those tiny fish down here. Same with the lakes in Woodland and Vancouver. Once a month they stock 3000 6-7oz fish. Wasnt like that years ago.

Love your videos, considering buying a peddle kayak but not sure whether I should buy a tandem or single. My wife may go once in a great while or if we go on a camping trip but she is not really interested in fishing which would be the majority of my trips.

I think singles are more fun so everyone can explore on their own but outfitting and transporting a tandem is much simpler

Yes I think either works well with a single person. Just plug the front drive well and add a little weight to the bow to prevent hull slap.

Man I like those crankbaits those awesome. I like use crankbaits myself. My third son just got his kayak on mother's day weekend & two weekends ago he caught a 4 pound bass off a crankbait. He's only 12 years old and you want to talk about being so excited on the first day of having the kayak in the water. Some of those colors were awesome too. Sir I have a question about your Chacos sandals? My coworker took me to a fishing kayak tournament and they would not let me enter because I have to kayak barefooted 👣 coworker got mad and we left. On Sunday me and my son went kayaking and 94 degree temperature and our face , arms , legs , and feet got sunburned really bad & today I cut my foot because of the pain from the sunburn & got over 20 stitches in my foot now. My question is is your Chaco sandals the wide width or are they the regular width one? I take it they are very comfortable to kayak in. I see a lot of people wearing them. I hear that the regular width are pretty wide. I have very very extremely wide feet with very fat wide toe that are equally straight across. My wife and the doctor I need to find a sandals to wear for kayaking. It looked like you have a wide foot & i see you all the time wearing them when you are kayak. I take it they are good. I have to kayak Barefooted 👣 because they do not make a shoe , water shoe , or boot that's wide enough to fit my foot. I am interested in buying a pair of Chacos sandals I just don't know what width to order and I was wondering if you could help right quick. You are always making good videos keep up the good work. After watching your videos I think you could catch fish on a bare hook! I was surprised your state park has "hours" and "launching fees?" Our parks are open 24\7 and no fee to "launch".

Yeah its strange. A lot of our parks on the east side don't have the hours or launch fees but the parks near urban areas do.

Same in Utah with the hours they do have launch and day use fees though if you go to the state park lot area most you can just park along the shore and put in a kayak or shore fish for free

@@spiltmilt Vancouver lake is infested. Launch at Felida Moorage if you go. A little better than the WDFW launch and less chance of someone messing with your truck. $5 fee though
