Micro-Fishing is so much fun, especially when you can have Rick Stein's fish and Chips after!! Awesome session targeting anything that swims and just having a general laugh in a cool town!
Fishing is just about location as much as catching fish and sometimes the nicest places to fish don't have to be the most scenic. Dan and I really enjoyed this little session and hope you folks do too!

great catches, i went there recently with a dipnet. caught a common goby and a longspine sea scorpion. also seen big mullet there and a juvie red mullet once

There are some huge mullet in there! Micro fishing is so much fun isn’t it! I find it very fulfilling!!!

Did you see the mullet I once fed some pastie to one at the bottom of the steps you were sat next to , now I'm a fair weight angler and that mullet was easy 8 lb they're huge around there if you can spot them 😁👍

You had about as much luck as I did when I fished there! I fished where you were and on the other side of the harbour - dead on both sides. I think possibly because there's not much in the way of weed or structure down there for the fish to hide in.

Hi pal! You’re bang on it, was quite weird in terms of where the fish were located! It was bloody tough I tell you that!!

@@japanesefishingadventures Exactly, its weird to not even get taps, we dropped out gear down to size 14 hooks and super thin strips of squid and still werem't catching. If you're ever in Devon, check out Haldon Pier, Cairy Arms ( Both in Torquay), Rags on size 8 hooks or under will get you a variety of species- its not unusual to get 7-8 species in a few hours down there. Edit- Also on Haldon Pier, dont be scared toswitch up to bigger Baits, Had wrasse up to 5-6 lbs on whole squid and 4/0 hooks.

@@japanesefishingadventures i lived down there for 32 years and worked out at sea as a commercial fisherman but fancied a change . i have just got my rod licence and am gona try river , freshwater fishing . have you any advice as im more used to sea fishing
