Thanks-the electrical system decisions are daunting for me and I’m really just trying to part time with a conversion van for a year or so while I figure out what I actually need in my final high top van build to function well-I think something like this is the perfect way to bridge the temporary trial van with my final build when my 17 & 19 yo kids are independent and I can go full time.

Even if you have a fully off grid camping outfit like a van or truck, having a satellite power system like this is a great tool, it expands your versatility immensely. I have an older Goal Zero system that is similar, but tend to be rather pricey. I love seeing new, less expensive alternatives that do the same thing.

Just looked it up for anyone curious, it's a 300 watt-hour battery. can do 300 watts for one hour, 600 watts (it's max) for a half hour, you get the drill. Not super long lasting but yeah, it'll charge quick and it's a whole lot bigger than an external phone battery pack. you just won't be able to power anything big off of it. but keeping a few LED light bulbs running all night would be trivial for this pack. Keeping one of those spiral efficient lights on for 10 hours would consume roughly 1/6 of this packs juice.

I gotta repeat what you said, especially if you can't or don't know how to set up electrical-- this is great for. Just gotta make sure your tech wattage is okay for the charger, which is possible. Just takes money and organization to get there.

Thanks for the review - I am looking to buy one of these thongs. I just haven't decided on which one. One thing, though..... Lithium batteries don't really like being drained completely. They do best if you don't go below about 20%. They also like it better if you stop charging them before you get to 100% -- 90-95% is better. 80% is even better.

So, the only reasons to not use one of these is pretty much to have access to more outlets and also a higher wattage inverter?
@Dualex_Builds
@Dualex_Builds 4 жыл бұрын
Yes that and that it is less expensive to build your own system and you can make it as large as you want. You could also spend more money on a bigger version of one of these with a larger battery bank and inverter but you’d basically be paying for the fact that you don’t need to make anything else

Hey, not sure if you read or reply to comments, but I wondered your thoughts on using this for a semi-permanent setup. I want to have power in my truck camper for lights, rooftop fan, laptop, and phone charging. Not a huge load, I'd have to make all the wiring go to this. I think it's possible.
@Dualex_Builds
@Dualex_Builds 4 жыл бұрын
I do read and reply to comments and I think there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to do that. I wouldn’t try to run a refrigerator or microwave or anything like that using a small portable power station like this, but you can also spend a little bit more money and get something with a bigger battery inside of it if you’d like to try to run stronger appliances, but for all of the things you just mentioned I don’t see why it wouldn’t worj

@@Dualex_Builds Dude you made my day! I think you're right. I would probably just have to end some of the wire connections in USB for easy plug and play. That’s a really good question. Honestly I’m not sure what will happen over a number of years, but I know that lithium batteries generally last a long time though that doesn’t mean that other components in this product won’t go bad over time. I’ve had it about a month so far and have been discharging the battery completely before recharging it and so far no issues
