Need an update on this. Am hoping to have a similar build. Only difference will be converting the van itself to electric first so the panels can also passively charge the car for longer camping trips. Also a similar solar awning but 3 stack instead of 2.

In the UK they're affectionately known as a "Toaster Van" because they look like an electric (sliced bread) toaster on wheels..🤗

@@the_katman2181 Yeh, well that makes sense 😆. Whilst shopping, I saw one converted into a campervan..! My Sister and I had to peer through the window and take a photo of the outside, as it was just too cute, so very tiny...😍.

It's great to play around with it in winter. When the heat of summer comes, that tiny engine might easily over heat when you're roughing it around and when it's too loaded. Amazing tiny design and quality of work that you both do 👍

Amazing project I've watched all the progress uploads on this little van conversion and surpsingly quite a bit of room in the back of that little thing,Im thinking the van would look also great if it had a small external van storage box on the back door, maybe to store food in or something,Or maybe a lockable jerry can for extra water! :)

Brapppppps Gobble Gobble adventure! Totally enjoyed watching this video. He’s transforming into a cool little ride. I think Brap needs some X-line exterior for those micro hardcore adventures. Maybe a mini light bar too? Then you could be Brapin in the desert at night. Obsessed with all things little! 😝🤙🏼 I said Brap 3 times. It’s addicting. BRAP! 🤣

perhaps because your bedding foam is so tight wall to wall that, at night, you are, in effect, insulating the living portion of your van from the floor-based heat source. maybe shape the foam cushion overlaying the lagun table to allow more air flow along its sides? sweet little rig though!

You don't know how good you've got it! Roaming those vast lands, unbothered. Lighting campfires, enjoying nature. You couldn't do that in Germany, where I live. Oh, how I wish I lived in the land of the free! On the other hand: Trump. Well, maybe another time.

Your lovely Kei camper takes you to some beautiful locations, perhaps repay this good service by fixing the rear screen wiper that still slumps forlornly on the tailgate instead of being properly set up on the glass! It looks cold where you are, I'd be very tempted to install my Seek Outside Cub Stove into the van to enjoy the heat and to have the stove top surface to cook food or to boil water for earl grey. If you buy some of those inexpensive door mosquito netting panels kits from Lidl you can make net sets to fit both sliding doors and the tailgate apertures. An M-Kettle would be a useful thing to have in your camper, boil water using found twigs and small sticks. If you were to have the sliding solar panel like your friend Cody has on his van, it would act as an improvised awning for when getting in and out of the sliding doors! Alternatively, just rig up a tarp to do the same thing, or maybe even fit an awning and an add on room!

Can you please give some details on your Buddy's van with 460w panel. I want to know what van was used and the customization he did inside. I am tempted to take my 2014CRV barely used and put it to use as a van for all of US and canada travel and get some value out ofit while travelling around North America.

I donno lol - I would probably just make this like a "weekender" edition with a low mattress and call it a day? lol... I do love everything you're doing, but I CANNOT imagine living in a van this size - but I do want to see watch your van channel "tiny van life" more than anybody else's lol
@pawpawbandit38713 жыл бұрын
I guess I would have put the Bed on the floor, and put the kitchen behind the driver's seat? and you can sit on the mattress? I'm just thinking about how the space in the back kinda works, like a full size person tent - when it's just the empty back... but with the bed raised so much in the back, for me that kinda takes away from the huge sense of space...and THAT is what you want in a tiny van - natural light and a sense of immense space... like Canoo's design
@pawpawbandit38713 жыл бұрын
LOOK - put the bed on the floor now, then figure everything else out - sorry I'm just being a real critical designer here - you aren't going to want to use this Van the way it is now... What works for a large van, definitely doesn't work for this van.

I don't understand why you guys made it so high for your heads almost touching the roof I just think the design is really poor and way too much weight for that little motor you're going to burn it up I would not go with a lift kit and put bigger tires or anything on it that motor just is not going to hold it
