I have to admit that all these talks with Dr. Rhonda Patrick, Dr Michael Greger, and other doctors and researchers who analyze the scientific literature is very helpful! I am a university researcher too but in the neuroscience field and the amount of literature is huge. It is literally impossible to read it all. They are bringing the research to the population which it should be as almost all the research is public domain coming from taxpayers. I am deeply thankful to all those researchers who are trying to fill the gap between the research world and the community bringing the scientific knowledge to everyone!

As a fellow scientist, I would highly advice to stay clear of Michael Greger given his anti-scientific almost dogmatic systemic bias in the type of research he covers (and the literature he ignores because doesn't support his cause, i.e. veganism). Just few points proving he is just another anti-scientific fear mongerer 1) supports "the china study book" 2) claims eggs are bad for your health 3) claims fish is bad for your health 4) claims there is no healthy amount of meat you can eat 5) veggies are the cure for everything

My wife had bad sciatic pain with degenerating discs and inflammation. Doctors fed her pain killers. But after seeing her blood tests with a little research we started her on Vitamin D3, K2, plus magnesium and tumeric pills. All pain gone within 3 weeks. Also improved her diet with less sugar, less bread, more green vegetables, berries, greek yogurt, cheeses, eggs, fish.

Both are very keen on vitamin D, zinc in the right quantity and Dr Been and his colleagues have been talking about Ivermectin for months. Dr Campbell has just got onto that. Both super keen on mask wearing and Campbell on ventilation. Magnesium 400mg a day; CoQ 10,100mg a day for the past year. For the heck of it we both had our blood tested for reactive positive COVED19 antibodies and both came out positive. Not wanting the dark skin of a field worker goes back thousands of years to Solomon times and likely thousands of years before that. It’s actually addressed in the book of Song of Solomon (or Song of Songs) where the woman tells her lover not to judge her for having black skin because her brothers got mad at her and made her work in the vineyard fields. Solomon was about 2500 years ago.

I already had my head scanned and a whole whack of other tests with no results as to why this is happening to me. I am a fit guy who has been active at bodybuilding and combat sports for a lifetime now at 40 years old I am currently unable to work its so bad and the symptoms came on fast.. When my vitamin D blood work came back I had (( 5 ng/ml )) not even enough for basic cellar function... I am now taking 12,000 IU's a day and will have more blood work done in a month. I hope this was the source of the issue because the doctors i have spoken with have no idea whats going on

Rhonda, a force for the good of humanity! A suggestion regarding Vit D: Adele Davis was emphatic that Vit D is made in sweat on the skin. From there it is absorbed into the skin and the blood stream. This requires time. Washing sweat off too soon washes vit D away. Could this be why in modern times people who get good sun exposure also have low vit D?

Hey Gav. I’ve been trying things last 10 years, my best no1 recommendation is Magnesium if your not already having it, I use ocean mag by one nutrition. 20£ will last good few months, within 3 weeks you’ll be sleeping better, hair growth nail growth, male production , you’ll thank me later buddy

@@AlamBarzakh99 cheers mate. I’ll give that a go. I’ve got a magnesium spray for bed that was recommended and some zma supplement that I hadn’t taken for a good while that I’ve taken for last couple of nights and I have actually had a couple of uninterrupted sleeps which is unusual for me and was good. Thanks for the advice and all the best on your journey 👏

Interesting but all research depends on outside factors ie increased rate of awareness and identification of autism, genetic inflammatory diseases, increased pollution, societal/environmental, hereditary causes of depression etc. I am glad that new Vit D and serotonin information is ongoing. Some have to ingest serotonin as a treatment for depression, which exists in all cultures to some extent regardless of diet. You mentioned that too much can cause gut inflammation, and I would hope no one stops their meds if the have both depression and an inflammatory disease. Oddly, I don’t see many comments on the animal experiments. During the 80,s we were all told by the scientific community to eat carbs not fats. The disease types and rates are evidence. No need to torture any more monkeys, dogs etc.

Serotonin production varies due to social reasons as well, as does numerous neurotransmitters, modulators, hormones. Do NOT look to isolated drugs like SSRIs to save you if attempting to persist in unhealthy social behaviors or ideations.
@katriel8693

@@briseboy I would hope no one is looking for an SSRI to save them. My point is basically the same as yours- too many factors to have a knee-jerk reaction from social media, which is not uncommon these days.

Minute 15:00 Magnesium helps repair DNA-damage from ROS(reactive oxygen species). Every 100mg deficiency results in 24% increase in pancreatic cancer. Magnesium also pulls calcium and prevents its loss from bones and intestines in menopausal women, the first one is bone brittleness and the second one is colon cancer.

@laserflexr6321
@laserflexr6321 6 жыл бұрын
The problem is that the perfect diet depends on your dna, your personal history and your current lifestyle. We are all different so what is excellent advice of what to/not to eat for one person is totally wrong for the next. No easy way. You need to study what your own system doesnt seem to be doing right and study to see if there is potentially some deficiency cause for it. Most people are unwilling or unable to spend the time to discover their own deficiencies, and some even when told and supplied with documentation will refuse to do what they need to improve their health. If I see a deficiency in someone I will tell them, in one ear and out the other 99% of the time. The information is available now in a way that has never been possible in the history of humanity, do you care enough to study yourself and act on what you learn? chia seed smoothie? Really?

You would enjoy a you tube video from 2010 presented by Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, entitled "What should I eat"? After listening to a non stop 2 hour and 13 minute lecture without as much as looking at a piece of paper, you will get a good idea of what you should eat. He was brilliant, (like Rhonda Patrick is) and presents a plethora of information that at times during his career I sometimes found hard to follow it was so fluid. Good luck.

boys are known to get more autism because of the effect of testosterone (high) .... most people are insulin resistant : for women -> don't convert testosterone to estrogen = PCOS or high testosterone = more boys with autism ? maybe more lesbian girls when they get this testosterone high from the mother in utero ?

She makes it sound as if amino acids like leucine and isoleucine are bad because they cause a big, long lasting drop in seratonin. I am sure this would concern a lot of fitness enthusiasts who consume protein shakes after their workouts. I wish she had mentioned how best to counteract that problem, besides avoiding consuming those amino acids.
