Why would you use this over the medium cage ?

Use the shortest needed for your expected terrain. Crisper shifting and less potential damage and less chain clack. And small wheels.

Are there any disadvantages of the Super Short compared to the Medium cage, when using the 11-38 (or even a 34) cassette anyway?

Nope. In fact, we don't recommend using the medium cage with smaller than a 42t cog.

What the cassette do You use? I do not come out to adjust it for 46 t.

Super short is designed for a 38t cassette.

@@microSHIFTTECH on the box is written: compatibility: Acolyte only. I did not find cassette Acolyte with 38 t max. I know with 46 and 42. So can You tell the model exactly I need to look for. Because I do not now such kind of cassette. May some kind of Sunrace..

@@microSHIFTTECH I'd love to buy the Advent or Aclyte Super Short, but it's not available anywhere in Germany or even Europe. Even the official Distributer Sports Nut is no help. 🤷

No, it is made for an 11-38 cassette.
