You know what’s funny Sony wants what Xbox has and Xbox wants what PS has and so we as fans get trapped in this endless loop of releases that underwhelm. You play them, finish them and forget about them. Nintendo might not have the graphical power but I can say this, I can finish their games and go back again and again because they are fun. Remember when they’d review a game and they had a score for Replayability? That category in scoring games is gone now because very few games do people want to replay.

It’s way bigger than even that. When you own the biggest RISK in gaming which is the biggest IP and most expensive to make call of duty, world of Warcraft etc. and when you are SOLELY responsible for that PLUS the whole business you owned before that well. All I can say is good luck. The only avenue for them to even break even and start generating profit is to ditch the console business. Take their IP and publish. Remove the loss from the equation. Xbox fans are being so shortsighted. Stop clinging to the brand. It’s cooked. The console was fun, but there’s more money to be made owning the games the exist in all spaces

If that made you happy I don’t think you understand the debt that comes with. Xbox is now responsible for everything activision. The budgets for everything. Before that acquisition the could publish call of duty on Xbox. Now they have to pay to MAKE it. Do you realise how expensive that is. Not to mention how many games they now have to fund? They were the middle man. And hardcore Xbox fans rejoiced because of the narrow minded view that they would own IP? And what make them exclusive and become gaming best platform overnight? No that’s not reality. They are 70 billion down and that number grows with every misstep. Every call of duty release. So the NEED to make money. And it needs to be made tomorrow. Which is why we’ve seen 5 Xbox games already punish on other platforms with more and more to come. It’s to damm expensive for Xbox to have Xbox exclusives anymore because they bought the bitter pill. This whole mess is just a headache honestly. You can’t buy a publishing business that is arguably bigger than your whole console existence and then just run it the same way.

did microsoft stop making prebuilts? only hardware I know of that they stopped making is zune and phones. They never stopped making PCs peripherals, games. and their console market is the 3rd largest in the world. 35 million consoles is a lot of consoles no matter how you shake it. 35 million of any device is good no matter how you toss that salad, MANY hardware manufacturers would KILL for that number. steam deck sold like 2-5 million units. And because of that success they made an oled model. They are just providing software to where people are, consoles are just a cherry on top. how is it mismanaged? they've been putting out bangers. Game pass has grown 40% in 2 years. Their software is up 61 percent, 11% more since last quarter, and that was about 10% more the previous quarter, then before that it was without ABK. In this recession their console sales are only down1-16% (depending on how well their surface, and peripherals are doing). by quarter. Year by year 3 quarters ago was around 40, (abk Aquisition locked in) quarter before was around 50% up, recent earnings 61%. Meanwhile sony does have strong growth in their video game section but that's about 15% yoy. If xbox is mismanaged, then so is sony.

@@TheGoreforce well look at it from MS’s perspective: 35 million consoles split between two consoles, series X and S and then the weaker of the Two series S is outselling series X. How exactly is that really working out for Xbox? Especially considering ultimately they have a wider reach with Amazon firestick or putting an app on Devices like smart TV. It’s only a matter of time before Xbox says F-It we don’t need console. Sony is more entrenched in the console market but best believe with all these big profile failures it’s only a matter of time before they do the same even though Sonys core business has always been gadgets so I can see them putting out a DVD player with the app built in to play games. As for this cherry on top MS has to account for the money they are putting into consoles that aren’t selling because That’s a loss. Look at the 2TB Xbox galaxy, it’s not selling out and you know why? Because it’s already shown people aren’t buying the series X but the S so why even take that road then they have a nerve to have a bundle now where you get a 1tb Xbox series X with a year of Gamepass for $800 bucks? Man they are so out of touch it’s not even funny.

Ugh, Microsoft as a whole should be worried about what is going to be the biggest impact in the American gaming industry as a whole. If you know the human mind, once you strip them of what makes people the most happy in life, all hell breaks loose. PalWorld is in the center of Microsoft as whole. Both on PC AND XBOX. And fans and creators are going to be loosing it as Nintendo going to sniping hard on anyone that even remotely looks like one of the many patents that Nintendo owns. We are already growing very low in originality and trying make a game in look so good, but similar to sole of Nintendo’s games, means that you are going after their business entirely. And that is what Nintendo of Japan is saying right now.

When your opponent is bigger and stronger than you… you have to make his strengths his weaknesses. So far MICROSOFT HAS DONE THIS. At the end of the day. It’s about capital. Bringing in the green. Remember when Microsoft put Windows on Linux after the monopoly lawsuit? They wasn’t worrying about exclusives since then. They ARE THE CONSOLE. Sony’s whole playing field has been changed. If there are two things i hate, at the XBOX division then it is: Phil Spencer and Satya Nadella "It´s only those 4 games, neither Starfield nor Indiana Jones will release on ps5." A few months later Indiana Jones, were announced for ps5 which is enough reason for me to skip this game. Not even through XBOX Gamepass i will play Indiana Jones. Since Phil Spencer and Satya Nadella seems to love gamers on playstation this much, let them buy those games at full price which won´t happen. We all saw how bad Hi - Fi Rush, Grounded, Pentiment and Sea of Thieves performed on the ps5.

Hey look up a local PC store. You can ask if they make pc. That what I did. Pay a ex 100 or 200 for them to put it together 900 pc become 100. But going that it 8 old out and still runs. Price isn't bad. Look at the pros. It been a bit more. But you can emulator or pirate and save tons of cash.

Yeah I'm moving to PC gaming & retro consoles, I'll keep my Series X/PS5 still but I don't have much hope left in this generation & in future consoles in general, I think Nintendo is the only one that shows promise, their Switch/games sales show's it & I'm looking forward to the Switch 2, not hyped... but interested enough, hell even handheld PC's are more interesting than consoles now, also Microsoft Windows 11 is absolute trash! but that's making gaming on Linux even more popular.
