Microsoft exams just got easier! Use Learn while taking the exam

How do you feel about this change? Do think it’s for the better or for worse?

For the better. In my experience the (most) questions are phrased in such a way that the answer is quite specific to the problem they present you with. One "unfortunate" outcome will likely be that you'll no be able to score easy points if you know niche topics by heart as those questions probably will be removed in favor of the more complex questions mentioned above.

A very valid point you have there on those niche "easy" points. I also think we'll see those questions go away, but my guess is that it'll happen gradually over time. We'll definitely see the type of questions change a bit, but my guess is that this will happen across a year or two

I already failed my 1st AZ-104 attempt, on 2nd got kicked off for not agreeing to pre-reqs, now I'm fighting for a voucher Aaagghhh!! But I think allowing for a quick probe best represents the research a tech would do on a job; as we can't remember everything.
