9:55 spot on. In my company we moved to 365 and Teams, we have all these new tools but they never did any training to give guidelines. For example, when does it make sense to create a new Team, versus a channel, versus a chat.

4:55 yes! This is my problem using Loop. I can’t remember where to go look for stuff anymore. The search is good, but still… so I search and find a component in Loop but then I have to go back to Teams to find the context? It’s messy

They actually just changed the layout of the app, like yesterday. They added better sidebar navigation and organization.

Thank you, thank you and thank you again. It would be wonderful if Microsoft demostrated a beginning to end productivity lifecycle video series on using all these tools to make them more useful. I think, as you mentioned that, this would also help them close the gaps in the integration of these tools which would help remove so much confusion.

I’m experimenting with loop and planner (and SharePoint) to see if I can migrate away from using Confluence and Jira. I’m the only department using C&J and I’ve been asked to come back to using standard company tools. But I have to say I agree with your sentiments here. I don’t find any of it works completely, parts of functionality are only in Pro version, it’s confusing to know where to go for the team, there’s no logical productivity workflow. Everything is too open too, meaning your team can easily create new approach to the work process. Just recently , I’m informed that migration to the most highly secure release of 360 means Loop is not even offered… if that’s true… it’s something to keep in mind. I can’t see any equivalence as a substitute for Jira (unsurprisingly), but also for content creation a wiki like Confluence still wins hands down.

In my opinion, it’s impossible to replace Confluence + Jira with Microsoft. When I was a Business Analyst in the previous corporate I was working in, I’ve rolled out Asana for 1000+ employees cross-departmental. Then the company suddenly wanted us to use Trello. I’ve made a simple calculation what it would cost to migrate 16.000 tasks and setup new workflows (costs in time and downtime). It was enough to justify to keep the system running, which after I rolled out some of the ICOR® workflows, increased project work performance by 40% with the same headcount. We can support you with your challenge too, as this is something very common we’re facing during our Inner Circle Cohorts: paperlessmovement.com/inner-circle-cohort

Next episode: MS-List: What is it for? Why did MS create it? Any Excel sheet works better than List. Help me understand this app.
