Microsoft Planner is a task management application developed by Microsoft as part of the Office 365 suite of productivity tools. It allows teams to create plans, organize and assign tasks, share files, communicate, and collaborate on projects in a visual way. With Planner, teams can easily track the progress of tasks, set deadlines, and visualize their workflow using customizable boards, charts, and calendars. It's particularly useful for teams that need a simple and intuitive tool for managing projects and tasks without the complexity of more advanced project management software.

During minute 16, you explain that people who were included in the group can access the plan. My question is: How can I create another group? Because if they add more people they will obviously be able to see the plan, but maybe I don't want to. Great video, thank you in advance.

My recommendation would be to not connect the plan to a team. I would create a plan in Microsoft Planner and only invite the people you'd want to see it. If you want to add it in Teams, you still can by putting the site link in a tab able the channel. I hope this helps! Thanks. -Kaleigh

Great video! Could you share some information about gantt view. Do I have to use an app to do so in planner? Does planner have a gantt view wit the premium member ship? thank you so much!

HI Excellent Details, just a question, is it possible to add custom columns like we can do it in MS lists? as we need few custom columns. also does it send notifications about comments / task status change etc. in teams?

Great question! Unfortunately, you can't through Teams at this moment, but you can view tasks through the Bucket view and organize that way. Thanks! -Kaleigh
