I’ve never tried a combo edge, what are your thoughts on it? It is useful to have half the blade be serrated?

@@TriedandTrueEDC to me it’s extremely useful. It’s all a preference thing and what you cut daily. I’ve used a plain edge to cut zip ties and it’s chipped the edge. So serrations help with that.

@@rjlewis8346I suppose I don’t find myself requiring a serrated edge for most of my daily tasks, but it would be nice to have one. Appreciate the insight!

I love the socoms ! After watching this I want the stonewash version like yours as well . Microtech and spyderco are my favorite. I almost bought a shiro but as you know they are chunk of change . $4-$500 is basically the highest I’ve gone on a knife so far .

Oh yeah, Shiros are pricey alright. If you ever do pursue one, the secondary market is better imo. You’ll be able to save a few hundred dollars and get one in pretty decent condition. I still remember telling myself I would never spend X amount on a knife, but that keeps going up 🤣
