***** Damn, irrefutable logic; my only weakness.
@theoriginaldylangreene10 жыл бұрын
AgentTasmania Don't believe the hype. The vikings where making some of the finest blades in the world in the late 1st Century. The reason a katana is made from folded steel is because of the rarity of good steel in Japan. Once they found a design that kind of worked, they didn't change it. Where as the constant power struggles in Europe evolved both the Art of War and metalergy
@theoriginaldylangreene10 жыл бұрын
AgentTasmania Who's talking about long swords, I'm talking about metalergy.
@theoriginaldylangreene9 жыл бұрын
AgentTasmania I was replying to your comment about viking blades. Besides the fact that early Norse blades where based on the spatha, it's self a Roman longsword, and that as a general rule they got longer with time. But that's besides the point, you need to read more about Viking crucibled steel. It wasn't bettered until the industrial revolution. The Japanese didn't have this technology for another 800 years.

PsylomeAlpha My relic takes forever to cook anything. For example, the other day, I put in a packet of popcorn. The packet said to microwave for 4 minutes. However, after 4 minutes, not a single kernel was popped, so I had to set it for another 4 minutes. In other words, it takes at least twice as long to cook as a normal microwave. But hey, it still works, and if it ain't broke, there's no need to replace it!
