@@nunyabusiness3516 look at the animation details and how different it is to the other games. the way the box switches to an actual meal, how the sim presses actual buttons, the microwave is fully see through and you can see your meal being cooked and its sounds! its not just about it being a microwave but the game overall and how much love, care and detail they put into it and all of its areas. it makes the game so much more realistic, so much more depth and just overall more enjoyable to play

@@qwe5qwe566 we got trade with 3... Open world and no loading screens for memories and water physics. Custom textures everywhere in game for actually custom textures on clothes. Personality in sims for long memories in sims. Being able to explore freely for over the top animations. World progression and evolution for character development. No need for trampolines and ladders on pools in order to get in for chemistry between sims and so on... But in 4... Nothing, just maybe an easier way to customize your Sims body but that's all. The base game didn't even have toddlers and there were no fucking pools on release. The expansions are watered down versions of previous expansions (sims 2 didn't had horses and 3 gave that option in exchange for pet fishes. Sims 4 had sold pets almost individually) Sims 2 is a real café Sims 3 is a restaurant Sims 4 is a Starbucks that even charges you for sprinkles

I mean i wouldnt say it was all down hill. Sims 3 still had plenty of details and gave us easily the best looking sims game while also giving us the whole town at once and much more than what sims 2 had purely in content. 3 made conssessions to give us something else which I call a reasonable trade off and gives the game a crowd to enjoy it for what it does differently. Sims 3 wasn't ever a sims 2 replacement, its an alternative. To quote videogamedunkey in sims language (referenced from his yookalaylee video): sims 4 isnt polished enough to be sims 2 and its not adventurous enough to be mistaken for sims 3

Could never figure out why I always loved TS2 more than the other releases. Realizing now that I’m older it’s because the attention to detail and pure PASSION of the developers shine through it like non other. Even if you only subtly notice it, you notice it. I own the Origin Ultimate Collection, but google how to get Sims 2, there’s a bunch of resources online to get it, and it’s not really pirating since it’s abandonware, no one will go after you for downloading Sims 2 since it’s no longer being sold. After you install the game make sure you check some “how to fix Sims 2” youtube video to fix a couple of things, the one from @acottonsock is great, I would also recommend downloading Sims2RPC mod by Lazy Dutchess

Sims 2 by far! Only downside is that the microwave doesn't have the turntable plate that Sims 1 had, Sims 4 brought it back but the animations of the microwave were so bad. Plus the teleporting plate thing... Why does Sims 4 teleport everything while the earlier games have them placing it smoothly and with minimal teleporting? I don't really have anything to say about Sims 3 other than how it's just a 3d version of Sims 1's animation. Sims 2 > 3 > 1 > 4

Sims 1 "can't afford the visual details, your crt monitor can't probably show them anyway" Sims 2 "we now can afford a little spinning, isn't it great?" Sims 3 "we can't afford little details, there's an entire town outside, your microwave won't spin" Sims 4 "details? We weren't even going to give you pools without a dlc, and now you're asking for small details? The screen isn't even transparent now" To me if it wasn't for the building system of sims 4 (mostly empty without any dlc) 3 would have a hard win over all the games, the easy texture editing the game had was great, you could even easily import new textures with a tool from the game
