I was impressed with the results this gave. I personally found it gave a better toaster crunch/texture when i made my 2nd one & didnt butter the outside of the bread. Def a great purchase!!

A tip if you're using an electric toastie maker , use a folded piece of baking paper and put the sandwich to be toasted inside that , it will save you a lot of clean up.

Not a good product. I had 1 from amazon and collected it at 14:00 from my local post office. We then tried it and it went back at 15:00, and fully refunded. Horrible silicone taste.

I've had one of these (not the anko one) for several years now. And only just recently found a FB group celebrating this toasty... we share recipes! This most amazing widget doesn't do JUST toasties !! Try other foods! I put my toasty on paper towels, which also aid in taking it out.

Power Shopping I bought one from Kmart and only paid $5 delivered. Used 2000 flybuys points = $10 and free One Pass delivery.. Best microwave accessory ever. Makes pizza toasties in 3 1/2 minutes. Easy to clean and take anywhere where there's a microwave, including work.

My first attempt after buying this 2 weeks ago was a failure. I used the amount of butter I normally use when I make one in my frypan… the less butter idea may be better… and definitely need to turn it halfway. I’ve never adjusted the power on my microwave (insert Tim the tool man Taylor grunts of “more power”). But I did use 4 minutes. Less butter=good

I was recently booted from their group because I got annoyed at one of them for telling members to report spam & rude comments & posts and get I got abused by one of them that 'they're 3 people 24/7 doing shift work & doing admin on a page with 30k+ members & they have family & blah, blah, blah bull 💩! 🤦‍♀️🤣

I'm seeing lots of comments about people saying they prefer to keep using their sandwich press, or their frypan for a toastie, and that's absolutely OK. I love pan fried sangas! However, for someone who takes food to work with them, and only have access to a microwave, then I think one of these would be ideal if you want a change from the usual microwave meals. I have a sandwich press at work, but I find even with buttering both sides of the bread, the end result can be too dry. I think I might have to invest in one of these. Thanks Greg!

I was pleasantly surprised with how well it toasted it for you. It might not be as useful if you need a hard seal like how my hubby likes his baked bean jaffles, but it does look promising for other toasted sandwiches.

I had a larger similar version of this over 10 years ago for cooking sausages and bacon in the microwave. It was okay, but I didn't use it much. This toastie maker, however, looks really useful, particularly if you only have access to a microwave at work.

Greggo, preheat the toastie maker for 1 min, add your toastie and cook for 2 min. It’s perfect every time. Stops the cheese melting out too. Had mine for 3 years off Amazon and use it twice a week. Just put it all in the dishwasher pulled apart and has never let me down.

The Kmart/Target ANKO microwave toastie makers explicitly say to not use them in a microwave without food in them and they don't need preheating at all as they're made to heat up very fast🤦‍♀️ Just because your instructions says one thing, doesn't mean it's used for another similar product.

Just another gadget to do the same thing as a frying pan that’s just as quick and easier to clean. Greggo, take this to the op shop along with your electric jaffle maker, electric popcorn maker, omelette maker, microwave bacon cooker, crepe maker, cheese slicer, egg slicer, steak griller, George Foreman, corn cob kernel remover, lemon squeezer, apple corer/peeler, microwave egg poacher, salad spinner, egg yolk separator, hot dog maker, electric can opener, electric carving knife, electric salt and pepper grinders and vegetable spiraliser! Then you won’t need such a large kitchen and can cook everything you want with a pan, a pot and a knife! 😂 lol
