Regarding her grip, never hesitate to try something new! Fosbury was laughed at for his high-jump flop--now everybody does it. The opposite is also true: Jack Weaver dominated using his "Weaver Stance." For a time everybody copied him. Now, virtually no one uses the Weaver stance, but...it doesn't mean Jack was wrong, because it worked FOR HIM! Experiment. Practice. Decide. Don't let anybody's mocking affect your decision. Rick Barry shot free throws granny style in the NBA. He retired with the best free throw shooting percentage in the history of the game. Carry on.

Listen to Lena, I'm mildly deaf from not using hearing protection in a factory environment during my youth. It's not as simple as losing your hearing over time. Even though I started using hearing protection in my 40's, at 50 I started getting tinnitus (ringing in the ears). At 64 the tinnitus is so bad it that in a quiet room it sounds like the chorus of frogs in spring. I can hear most people fine, it's just that I can't make out what they are saying through the background noise. conversation sounds like a foreign language in many cases, especially TV if the volume is too low. To keep from raising the volume to stupid levels, I now have to use subtitles. It really does impact your life. I say this because nobody explained to me in my youth what really happens. I hope to help young readers of this comment to avert hearing loss and thank Lena for pointing out the importance of hearing protection. It's not just for the shooting range.

I would like to have known about your teaching when I got my 1st gun and started going to the range about 2 months or so ago. Thank you Lena!

We really need more women in shooting sports and overall 2A support. She is perfect... and needs her own channel.

Lena, At 77 I watch WAY too many youtubes in various topics now including gun, use safety, etc. as my S&W MP bodyguard 380 has only had 15 round shot in the last three years lol You are far and away, the best communicator, the most entertaining, the least threatening, and the most fun…! I wish you were my neighbor! Les

I know this short is old, but I just got to say, “Thanks Lena” This was way more informative and I just love your ease of instructing.

Great video. Really focusing on the fundamentals of shooting. Personally I have shot more rounds than I care to remember. But even I know you can always learn more, and it never hurts to go over what you already know. Again great video

Lena, my wife is new to the shooting world and I have introduced her to your videos and she has learned and improved as she practiced what you have demonstrated (and as a side note, I have learned from your videos also). Thank you for taking time from your professional shooting career on preparing these videos! If you keep making them, my wife and I will continue to watch and learn from them! 🤗

fantastic drill. tried this out a few days ago. Granted i was a little on the rusty side, but I found a LOT of room for improvement using this drill. thank you so much!

Late to the party on this video, but WOW! Especially with the shortages of ammunition right now, this is a truly efficient and focused use of ammo and time. Love this. Lena needs her own KZbin channel, Jerry! I am sure the Ol' Cajun can show the young'un how to do that. Keep up the great work, folks, and thank you.
