You’re so cute with your chuckles all the time. I’ve been wanting to do this in my bedroom and living room since I moved in. I watch a lot of 70s movies. Can’t wait to see the lights. X❤

So luxurious, and you explained the process well. Thank you. Did you multiply the length of the wall by 2, 2.5, or more to decide how many panels of curtains you needed?

Hi Miriam. Thanks for your nice comments. Yes, I did make a calculation. I first looked at a multiple between 2X and 3X (see the blog post of this project for more info, I'm adding the link below). I needed at least 3 packs (6 panels) according to my math. I bought an extra pack just in case (IKEA has a great return policy). Once the 6 panels were up, I felt the 4th pack would not be too much so I ended up with 8 panels totalling 456" on a 12' wall (comes down to a 3.17X ratio). We're often told 2.5X is the sweet spot but it depends on the window's location and the goal. In this case, the more pleats, the more luxurious it feels. I would love to see you do a diy McM shadow box. I’ve been looking for one but they are so expensive. I’ve been mulling over in my mind how I could possibly diy one. 🤔

Hello, thank you for your comment. I'm not sure if you mean a wall frame shadow box or something else. Could you please clarify or email me, it could certainly be a fun project to do! 😉
