The tournament organizers ranked Double so low as a seed, that the projections had him meet and lose to Kalak at a very early round lol. They made it unfairly difficult for Double (ignoring his TWT points) but it backfired as he beat the best EU players and ended winning the whole thing with style.
@aFutureSelf4 ай бұрын
How did they make it "unfairly difficult"?
@mazin91934 ай бұрын
@@aFutureSelf Lower seeded players have it harder as they are guaranteed to face stronger opponents in earlier stages. Seeding system as a whole ensures that more successful players are less likely to face a tough opponent early on. Double was not seeded accordingly with his TWT points or general performance. He was given the scrub treatment lol.

@@echo8168 Yeah it's dumb. Out of all participants, Double was the 5th highest TWT ranked player before the tournament (2nd now). He was seeded 34th in the tournament, lower than Kalak and 32 others. This led to Joka, the two-time Mixup champion, to fall in losers prematurely. Double had it tough systematically, whereas Joka had to be the unlucky guy to face the wolf in the sheep's guise lol. Granted seeding takes into account other factors than TWT points, but 34th was just too low for Double. Organizers and commentators underestimated him..

Hi @PhiDX, sorry for change the subject of the video, but could you or anyone here explain why the numbers for the spring kick on block change so much? I saw a variation from -12 to -19, including the numbers in the middle of these. Thanks man, great content !!
@TheIcarusFalls4 ай бұрын
It depends on spacing. For example, if you get a knockdown and you're in your opponent's face and they spring kick, you'll have all day to launch them because it'll be like -20. But if they land further away from you and immediately spring kick and you block it, but it's toward the end of the hit because you're farther away, you'll have to do your simple -10 or -12 punish. In other words, blocking it in their face is a free launch because you've already recovered from block stun and they're still in the air, and blocking it further away is a smaller punish because they've already almost hit the ground when you recover from block stun. Hope this helped
