@@ArtisanUpholsteryStudio Hi Amy , what is the brand of your Glue gun ? The glass jar you use looks like a customized piece.

Hi Aimee, I am a (50+ year old man), and I am a former commercial fisherman/lobsterman, and I found your videos while searching out if there were actually any specialized upholstery air tools, as I am looking at building some rugged, (yet cushioned), outdoor furniture. I will be using a heavy duty, white, 22oz., outdoor vinyl material from a company called billboard tarps. (It is some excellent stuff, I am currently using the 22oz. material as a waterproof roof covering for about 100 seasonal sunrooms that I build, set up, and take down at a local beachside RV parks). There were several tools that I have used in the past that I thought might be of some use to you in your upholstery business. First I wanted to recommend the Paslode brand of air tools, ( I do like their staplers). Like pliers, "nippers" (both small, and the very large ones) are a very handy tool. Burnishing tools used in making jewelry may also help (and be easier on your hands) as your pokey thing, One other tool that might have a use in your business is called a hog ring tool. I hope the info helps you out, and I wish you the best.

Well that's one attachment method I haven't seen. Great video. Question on your glue spray, can you just take off the bottle and store the unused glue in the jar? Do you need to thin the glue before using it in the spray gun.

It is stored in the jar, but I use a pin to keep the air hole open and clean. I don’t think the glue

I have recently acquired a Singer 201K sewing machine, as it is a straight stitch machine I'm assuming that it will be more than adequate for upholstery projects, am I right?

As always, your videos are great! I'm working on a 60s "throne-like" chair. I removed the back and instead of webbing there was a curved piece of material inside for support. It was like thick cardboard, but not wood. It was brittle and cracked in a few places when I removed the staples. Do you know what this might have been and if there's something comparable to use? I am going to try to glue it back together, but in case it needs to be completely replaced, I'm not sure what to look for or even how I would get a new piece of material to curve. Any suggestions? Thanks for all you do!
