This is soooo helpful! You showed me EXACTLY what to do to rejuvenate these OLD sled base church chairs of mine! To finally make them stylish! 😂Gonna be a crap ton of work but I got this now, THANK YOU! ❤

I always really struggled with the cornersvon dining chairs, ending up with folds or pleats or other unfortunate issues. This really helped me so, so much!! Thank you!

LOVED this video! I'm an amateur DIYer and love watching how-to videos like this. You guys did a great job at clearly explaining each step of the process. I would love to see more!

A 5 in 1 tool is so handy to have around. The chairs look amazing!

These are Erik Buch Model 49. Great to see the disassembly and their parts. Not sure Danish mid century architects would love the color, but taste is individual.

Oh I was wondering what their name was, thank you!

This was such a fun video! I've never done anything like this and have been really curious on how to do so. Thanks so much for sharing this!!!

You are so welcome! There are lots of minute markers so if you try it, you can jump around to the parts you need most. It really was easy.

Great explanations. Jon was really easy to follow and had a great presentation style. You do too, Sam, we know you've had lots of experience. I've been needing to do this for the past 2 years. Maybe this will be my motivation.

Great video! I would definitely like to see more "how to" videos! I have an antique chair (different style) that I'd like to reupholster myself, but haven't been brave enough yet.

Did you put screws in the seat back when attaching it back to the frame? How did you deal with the plugs?
@ThepinkenvelopeАй бұрын
Hi! Yes, I used the same screws that were already there and the plugs just popped out, I used a butter knife to help pry them out.

Loved it!!! Wonderful guidance throughout from both! No tips. You nailed it!!! (Or stapled it??? Not as pithy!)

Hello, how did you remove the back rest? The video didn’t show do you disassembled that. Thanks!
@Thepinkenvelope3 ай бұрын
Oh sorry about that. They unscrew from the sides.

what if I need foam material as well? how do I cut/fit that?
@Thepinkenvelope8 ай бұрын
You can get it at JoAnn’s and I recommend cutting it to shape then shaving the sides to create the curve/lip you want. Use the same spray adhesive to attach it to the chair.

is the process the same if covering in Vinyl? Do you have any specific suggestions for using that material?
@bonir56893 ай бұрын
I was wondering about vinyl as well. There is a stretch to it, does the stretch go side to side on the base and top to bottom on the back?
