That's how i felt, when i first started middle school, but dont worry it's not that bad, besides the drama. The older grades wont really bother you, they tend to ignore us just dont acknowledge us.

My advice for you is to pick the right people you want to hang out with, watch how they act and treat other people and you. Oh and with the drama and fights, try not to get sucked in even though lots of other people do. People in middle school can be pretty mean and petty, but just try to ignore them or you can stand up for yourself. Well I hope you have a great year!

Honestly, my advice about drama is just walk away. Don't listen because eventually someone's gonna end up fighting. DONT MAKE THAT BE YOU. If your trying to go into a good college they WILL check your record. It wouldn't be worth it to not get into a college because you decided to fight someone because they called you out of your name.

I’m in 7th grade and this is something I wish I would have watched last year. This would have helped me sooooooo much. Middle school isn’t that bad but being nervous makes u a target to older kids. Honestly I learned that the younger kids are smarter than the older kids common sense wise 100% of the time. Be yourself! I know that being popular isn’t important AT ALL but as long as u keep ur grades up being a loner kinda ruins the 6th grader experience. Everyone’s school is different so certain things apply to different schools. This might help u so take the time to read it (to all new middle schoolers)

I just "graduated" from middle school and there was plenty of drama. Just avoid it and your experience will be better. Find nice people who like the real you and hang out with them, even if it means not being the most popular. Also, my school DEFINITELY had cliques. You don't need to be part of a certain clique. Just be you! My last piece of advice is whatever you do, DON'T DATE! It NEVER ends well! I've heard about bad stories and heart breaks and I saw a couple do something pretty disturbing that I'm still trying to forget. You don't want that in middle school. Just wait until high school.

In sixth grade my friend and I would hang out all the time, but half way through the first semester, when we started computer class, ( the students were broken up into three groups and you would be in computer, art or FAX for one trimester) her and I were in the same class along with some of the snibbiest girls. When we had free time after doing a dumb typing practices, she would go hang out with the snobs and like forget about me, I wasn't being clingy or anything, I just found it weird that with us being good friends she would leave me alone. I just started to do my own thing. And after sixth grade, me and my family moved half way across the country and I never told anyone at my old school I was moving. I removed all those girls form my social medias and haven't talked t them since 😌

I’m currently a freshman in high school and well aaa middle school was a moment. Here is some advise going in to middle school, don’t stress or try too hard. I’m going to be honest the people there will judge you (well at least some mean ones) everything thing will feel like it’s everything. And you know that’s ok. About the lock thing, I SPENT THREE HOURS trying to figure out a lock. You turn it 3 times that -> way and stop on your first number. Turn it the opposite way (like this that way once, landing on your third number. Pull the top. Your welcome

Drama for us started in 5th grade it was about popularity. Two groups were arguing about who was more popular. I was both of the groups friends... They asked me for input, I ran across the playground, they chased me for 10 minutes.

I didn't have to deal with a lot of drama in 6th or 7th. Although this one girl did say I looked like a fish behind my back, and all I asked her was "what type of fish? Betta? Tetra? Shark even?" and she said she "wasn't talking about me" and I told her she shouldn't talk about anyone like that because it might be hurtful to them. Then we never conversed again, and that's it. She just always blankly stared at me. Oh well. I have good friends who surround me. I'm introverted but I stuck with one of my extrovert friends and she introduced me to so many amazing people. In 7th grade I made a couple new friends through classes, and heck I'm so glad my teacher moved me to where I sat in 7th hour. Hopefully 8th grade goes well.

At my school we're not allowed to carry backpacks around because of safety issues, so we HAVE to know how to use a lock. Usually if you don't know there is teachers or even kids that would help you with it
