FACT CHECK: the new settlement is in Israel and not in the Gaza strip. It's a new town called Ophir (btw, the town was renamed to honor someone who died defending Israel on October 7 against the invasion of Hamas). Netanyahu said that we will rebuild and expand the towns in that area (bordering with the Gaza strip) after they have suffered from the Hamas-led attack of October 7. You can check it for yourselves. As for the "Amalek" part - I think most Israelis would interpret this quote as referring to Hamas terrorists and not civilians (in any case it is quite vague - and irresponsible in my opinion). For Jones the facts don't matter because he sees Israel as the absolute evil regardless of reality. But I hope that people who read this comment do care about the facts, and can understand that the reality is more complicated than that.
