Fattoush is my all time favorite salad and I’ve been looking for a solid recipe for the dressing. I’ll have to try this one out. If you don’t mind me asking, which brand of molasses do you use? I just bought cortas and it’s terrible, overly acidic and watery! No sweetness to it. Your recommendation would be highly appreciated!
@MiddleEats4 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend getting it from Middle Eastern grocery stores, as we actually add sugar in the middle East. The European ones tend to be less sweet. I just buy no name brand ones most of the time. With that said, the Odysea pomegranate molasses is very nice!

When they make the traditional molasses in lebanon the sweetness depends on the type of pomegranate

To clarify: this is Egyptian mint, correct? Mentha x niliaca, aka Mentha sylvestris? Because, for the Western cook, the mints we're used to will do weird things to a recipe....

If you can, use chickweed and/or purslane as that will make the most authentic fattoush.

In my opinion, Lebanese have the best cuisine between all arab countries. They are Number 1, all other arab countries don't really have such good food as Lebanese do. One of if not the ebst cuisine in the world. Super healthy,tasty and rich
@MiddleEats4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it's the best cuisine, but it's definitely the most well known. Lebanese cuisine is very suitable for serving tapas style and that makes it easier to try a load of dishes. There are thousands of unique dishes in the Middle East and every country has their own rich culinary history.

@Middle Eats I don't know how much you know about the Lebanese cuisine Because we have many plate not tapas style as well and compared to other arab food u don't find them in a restaurant they are home food Exemple while in Egypt molokhia is made one way In Lebanon we have at least 4 ways to do it And many others
