The Dashboard Yeah. It's not dog shit, but if you're sense of humor is above school boy locker room then you'll enjoy a different movie better. There's about 30 minutes or so of genuinely entertaining material, but the movie is 2 hours. Also I get what kind of movie this is, but the women do absolutely nothing but look attractive in this movie and they have the balls to drop a feminist line with a dead serious tone.

Baywatch for me was a mainstay of UK Saturday night along with Blind Date and the British version of Gladiators complete with some lovely Fish and Chips. I dunno, the trailers made me laugh, but I've seen comedies with bad trailers that I ended up liking like Neighbors and the Jump Street films, whereas I laughed at the trailer for Neighbors 2 and was underwhelmed by the result. I guess we'll see.

"Baywatch" was mostly watchable, and I laughed more than I'd like to admit. I pretty much agree with Alison in that it worked better when it was just being PG/PG-13, and not doing the forced R-rated stuff. The R-rated bits are where it wasn't good.

I felt that the filmmakers putting Hasselhoff and Anderson's names in the opening credits was rather unnesscary. It kind of ruins the suprise, nor are they in it long enough to deserve a main credit. Though this sounds nit picky, I do honestly hate it when films do that: Put an actor into the main credits even though they weren't in it for long enough, nor did they have anything to do with it! Like in the Harry Potter films they waste billing space on the most insignificant cast members: Julia Walters got a main credit in Philosopher's Stone (or Sorcerer's Stone as you guys over in the US would know it as), even though she appears in the film for a minute, and doesn't really do much other than tell Harry to run at the wall. Or in Half Blood Prince, they give Timothy Spall a main credit, even though he literally appears on screen for 4 seconds (I counted his scene) with no dialogue and no involvement in the plot! He only appears briefly in one scene, and then is never heard from again. Why would you bother? Why would you give a main billing for a character who could have been just anyone as played by anyone. Why give Walters a main credit and not The Station Master or Wizard #5. Why does Spall doing a rather pointless walk-on get to be part of the top billings and not the girl playing Jessie Cave as Lavendar Brown or the boy playing the young Voldermort -- especially when they do more than Spall ever does in the movie!! I know it's nothing, but still, it absolutely grinds my gears. It's Hollywood injustice at its worst. And since I'm on the subject, I hate how Eddie Marsan is given a main credit in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, when he appears in only 2 scenes and the both of them literally do not add up to a minute's worth of screen time. And yet, he's in the main credits anyway!
