One thing you forgot to mention after the Doom Slayer killed the Dark Lord he finally fulfilled his purpose. And by doing so, within seconds the Great Slayer collapsed and for the first time in a long time was completely exhausted. Afterwards he was kept inside a coffin to rest with all the other dormant gods.

This makes complete since. If you play any level with the infinite berserk cheat code, it may seem fun at first, but after 20 minutes or so it starts getting really boring and you’ll end up playing the game with guns. Now this makes even more sense, because the only time the doom guy switches to his fists is when you get the berserk power up. In the codex, it works by enraging the user to extreme levels; now the extreme anger would make it so it’s no longer fun and games so he switches to fists until the effect wears off.

Like, grabbing a pebble, and killing a demon by flicking it super hard with our pinky finger. Moving so fast, the atoms can’t move fast enough and cause an atomic explosion. Imitate Hulk and clap so hard it blows everything away. Punch air at demons so strongly that it destroys them.

And the damn thing is made out of Agent energy, which is a extradimensional resource that surpasses all previous limitations of heat and it powers Hell and Urdak, as such it scales to them which makes the crucible Complex Multiverse to low hyperverse. Kratos at his peak scales to Multiverse+, Low Complex Multiverse if you want to wank him, and since the blade of Olympus can harm him than that makes it Multiverse+. So no, The Crucible is more powerful and can kill him, so can Doomguy since he also has immortality negating powers.

I definitely think you took the time to break down each character incredibly well. I think one of the nail's in the coffin is that Kratos just seems so tired. He's fighting to protect his son, he's fighting to keep his sanity, he's fighting to forget his past, and his mental stamina is constantly looking drained. He goes years without sleeping just so the Chaos Blades stay away. Doom Slayer on the other hand fought Hell. Hell, as you said, is without dimension or limit. He fought Hell for Eons, without tiring. He doesn't need to sleep, eat, rest, and possibly even breathe. He fought them so much, that the dimension without limit literally fears him. Even if they're matched in everything else, I think Doom Slayer would eventually tire out Kratos.

I don't think Kratos CAN get tired. Yeah we saw him get tired after fighting Baldur but as Cory said He was a little rusty at that point. Imo its more to do with humanizing him so that he does feel invincible to the general audience so that we don't stop caring about him as a character cause Invincibility can get boring and that isn't really the kind of problem that would concern a franchise like Doom cause let's be honest the majority plays Doom cause of how badass Doomguy is and to RIP AND TEAR while listening to absolutely godly music. You just sound like a Doomguy fanboy who wants him to win. All the things you stated Kratos doesn't need either. Kratos doesn't NEED to sleep, eat, or as he himself said "Gods don't take naps" He just simply wants to. Kratos can go toe to toe with Doomguy while being in his normal state. In Spartan Rage I don't know if Doomguy can do it as Kratos isn't really a demon nor did he kill his rabbit. So there wouldn't really be the innate desire that Doomguy has to kill demons. But come on let's be honest they would never fight if they actually met. Doomguy would recognize Kratos isn't a demon or a bad guy and Kratos would simply not fight because of Doomguy's attitude and personality.

This is a matchup that I've been wanting Death Battle to do an episode on for ages now. I would've loved to have seen how they would have coverd both characters history and I think the animated fight between would be awesome, if it was a 3D one. Kratos doesn’t want to fight unless he has to and doom guy is only interested in demons. Someone in the comment said that they would team up. Sure if kratos was dropped into Doom he’d fight to get back to Atreus. Vice versa Doom guy, if not fighting demons ( and if I’m not mistaken) would go back to sleep.

Lets not forget some details for doomslayer Jekkad/hell scales higher than urdak. Urdak is 6d. We know for a fact urdak is a higher plan of existence and the maykers are an ascend species. How far hell scales abovr urdak is unknown but it can be scaled to outerversal by not being bound by time. Space and dimension. The slayer himself can be given immeasurable to irrelevant speeds being able to physically walk through time. Moving fast enough to were it would seem that everything is standing still or that time is frozen. Just like kratos the slayer gets stronger as he keeps going. And steal power from kratos by killing him. The crucible could be a check to his immorality curse as well

I'm just gonna say this. People are downgrading on doom slayer way too much. Kratos in GOW 3 he defeated Greeks of gods but he got hurt with scars and pain and he gets tired and he does die, And with the new GOW he's old and is stronger but yet he gets hurt and with GOWR he dies and gets sore even if he used 100% The doom slayer has never had a scratch never was out of breath never anything and he could till fight someone probably stronger then the dark lord. The doom slayer is unbeatable as he hasn't taken any damage or any signs of it. Even with the dark lord a multi universe threat the Doon slayer killed him with ease using just his guns GUN not even his hands. Think about that, The doom slayer didn't use his hands, He punched the dark lord 6 to 5 times to kill the dark lord. It took only that many punches to kill the dark lord. That's beyond unbelievable strength and way stronger then any fictional character that's a game. The doom slayer isn't only just a god himself but beyond a multi universe threat exceeding beyond what's called a God and killing them easily with punches. As kratos he's killed Zeus yes but it took many many many hits. Doom slayer hit him 6 times. He's armor is indeed swag though. Happy birthday btw 🎂

I disagree on a few points about kratos: 1 kratos can die, he just fights his way out of the after life. Persephone’s curse only means he won’t find peace, I.e hades torturing him forever. 2 it’s not fate forcing him to survive forever, kratos is not bound by fate. The sisters of fate are dead and so is Clotho, the Norns admitted that they don’t control fate, they just make predictions. 3. Kratos does not have “infinite speed” the valkyries don’t fight at infinite speed. If they were wouldn’t Atreus also be infinite speed? Thats ridiculous. The valkyries may have a extreme top speed but they clearly don’t use that in battle. Otherwise good video, I just disagree on a few points

Doomguy and Kratos’s battle would last for eternity, or at least until either one of them walked away, or they reasoned it out and either separated to their own paths, or joined forces and beta the shit out of demons and gods alike. You must remember, Kratos is technically immortal with his curse, but Doomguy has also perma killed immortal beings before, and has even slayed the creator of everything itself. They are equally matches in both strength, rage, willpower, and determination. It is a battle of time, to see who will decide when they are bored of their little game first

Why not just compare the power level of what each protagonist killed? Demonslayer killed the ultimate creator of the universe. Kratos killed 2 supreme beings of their respective pantheon. Zeus : Greek Pantheon / Odin : Norse Pantheon. Is the demonslayer ever faced with an "equal" in combat? Not untill the very ending when he killed Davoth. Even that fight seemed trivial to him according to the cutscenes. Kratos seemed to fight his equal a few times throughout the series. Zeus / Baldur / Thor (to be fair, he did make it seem like killing other greek gods like a walk in the park). Feels like Demonslayer comes on top. Tbh if Kratos retained the image of an unstoppable killing machine like the earlier series. I would be a bit more confused but God of war Ragnarok portrays him to have a sympathetic human and soft side to him. Demonslayer is a straight up badass throughout the entirety of the series. He's got nothing to lose, no weaknesses. Just killing.

In a battle of attrition and mental fortitude, Doomguy wins for sure. In Doom eternal we see that fighting in hell for so long broke the Doom Marines psyche to the point where he can only repeat the words Rip and Tear. Even though kratos can be revived infinitely, Doomguy is already a high functioning insane killing machine. He can keep ripping and tearing until the Fate gets bored of see Kratos being blasted with the Super Shotty.
