So I started writing Little weird Village story is about Arthur Frankenstein whose has to protect his hometown from the evil creatures and the group called the crescents some of these issues are results of mistakes his ancestors made so he has to bare with them and the cursed orb that he has to protect from the main villain he too doesn't know where it is. with few information, more mysteries and merciless world his in he finds himself in constant strong decisions, losing people around him and has to be strong mentally or else he may end up has a villain also

yep honing in on 1 trait can work at first but that can make things more generic/predictable if left that way. later on in the process, there could be a couple aspects that change while something remains constant. as to this constant, good examples are the contrast between Xenoblade 1 and 2. in Xenoblade 1 the protagonist is the type where his personality doesn't change all that much but his goal shifts as he learns new things. Xenoblade 2 is the reverse, the goal at the end never changes but on the way they must mature as a person if they ever hope to achieve it while still maintaining core parts of their character that drive this motivation. these 2 styles are both great. some people will have a preference between them or enjoy both styles so long as they are done well. i'm the latter case here. it is common to keep the moral the same as something the protagonist believes and is trying to prove but it could also be something they slowly learn over time, even starting off believing the opposite or something that just doesn't quite work for what they want. there are many ways to do great characters. with tropes or less common techniques, writing is like making a recipe so how you use each ingredient should have your own personal style or blend. don't judge someone for using common ingredients, it's in how they used them that counts. it's like the moral of Food Wars.

My MC is someone who has multi personalities, it’s not like a trigger switches them tho, more like three people stuck in one body. So how would I do all this and make their “trinity” work. I started thinking of it as they are all the pro, duo, and tri- agonist just in one body, and well it made something’s easier it also made something’s harder. So if you could give tips on that, I would really appreciate it. Also another great video, love you and all your work.

I have a huge problem with my story. The protagonist is living a boring life. Having only two close friends, living alone. Now later he will have to fight alongside other characters to bring down an ancient "god" who has seen humans being cruel over and ocer so he thinks he has to end humanity and create a whole new species. (Short version). But HOW can I transition the story from being boring and cozy for the protagonist to discovering his power and working with others? I can't tie those pieces together somehow

I think showing character growth is the best way to do this. Show his development to the end part in steps. For example, you can keep giving him obstacles or situations that force him to take action and develop into a better character. Then by the time he gets to the part of the story where he discovers his power, it makes sense because he has already gone through the necessary character development. 😊

Hi! I’m been taking a break from writing , and do you remember the mc backstory I wrote in one of your vid? I rewrite it, since it doesn’t make sense and I’m still improving my English very well. another thing is I did make her from “ the chosen one” to only help people (which is deuteragonist and anti villain) and others can save the world.

Yes, a protagonist should have flaws. Don't make them perfect. They will feel very much boring. So give them flaws. It will make the story engaging. Tony stark is a very good example. In the beginning, he only cared for himself. But after some movies, he cared for other characters too

It's very important for a character to have flaws, and even the protagonist should have them. Giving a protagonist flaws makes them more realistic and believable. 😊
