It's a shame that Omega discontinued this piece. Maybe the Midsize Seamaster will make a comeback in a few years with an upgraded METAS certified movement?

This watch is no doubt really good, backed by the James Bond legacy, but I feel that the Oris Aquis 39.5 mm is a great contender and can definitely give this Omega a run for it's money. Thanks for the upload, great video 👍

Absolutely love it! Have one in my collection & in my opinion it's the only dive watch that could easily be dressed up with a suit & a leather strap

Hey AB, I agree with you for the most part. I can think of one more that goes well on leather IMO (Oris 65 ) Glad to hear you still have yours, I thought you sold it. (Your SOTC is in my "Watch Later" lol)

Except maybe for the Tudor Black Bay 58 which is available both with a bracelet and a leather strap

Wonder if we’ll ever see a midsize of the latest version? Id find a 38/39mm very tempting.
@engineer_wannabe4 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it'll happen. Omega has to be watching the popularity of the Tudor BB58.

Thanks to your review I was able to save $3000! Thank you.

Save $3000? If you're saying you didn't purchase this watch, you're truly missing out. Don't listen to his negative points, they're all subjective. All my watches are aside now and this 36mm SMP gets most wrist time.

Man, that thing looks great on your wrist. I've been so torn about pulling the trigger on the newer model because I have the exact same 6.25" wrist as you and just think it will look way too large on me. Really hoping Omega takes note and brings this smaller size back.
@dr.toanvo17702 жыл бұрын
Same size wrist here. I got the 38mm moonwatch. It fits my wrist perfectly, looking at this midsize for the next purchase. For my taste I like the look of having a little more wrist width than the lug to lug measurement. I got a 34mm rolex date and now it looks a little small so 36mm to 38mm seems like the sweet spot for me
@cpickell19872 жыл бұрын
@@dr.toanvo1770 totally agree. The fit always looks so off when the case occupies the entire width of your wrist. Great call on the 38mm moonwatch I have one myself and I totally agree - it's the perfect size.

@@cpickell1987 I am thinking about getting this old Bond watch here. I time myself for various activities daily so the bezel will be very helpful. How about yourself?
@cpickell19872 жыл бұрын
@@dr.toanvo1770 I'm definitely considering it as well. The size seems like it would be spot on for my wrist size. The thing that has me torn is that I really love the refinements they've made on the latest iteration - particularly that beautiful wave dial. There is something nice about the cleaner look of this version though. I'm sure trying one on in person will help sway my mind one way or another.

I bought this watch and had the same sizing problem with the bracelet. Recently ordered two half links from the local Omega Boutique. If somebody is interest I can provide the part number when they arrive in the next two weeks.

Nice watch and review. May I ask the price range that I m looking at for this watch on the pre owned market?
@engineer_wannabe4 жыл бұрын
I would say about $3-4k preowned in good condition if I'm not mistaken

I have this exact model in 41mm. It is a beautiful watch no doubt about it and it fits my 7 inch wrist. However i just necer connected with it. Something about it feels and looks so sterile on me. Perhaps the pitch black dial or the straight no taper bracelet or how the bezel doesnt really have a nice sparkle under lighting but just this cylindrical steel look.

It doesn’t look small in your wrist. I thought 36 would look small, guess I was wrong.
@OscarRPalma29 күн бұрын
I know that is the mid size but for being ISO "approved" has to have a lume on 3 o`clock, not that matters at all.

I acquired the same watch around when you did and I am still enjoying it. One odd thing is how small it feels in the hand yet it wears naturally on my 6.75-inch wrist. It has become a bit of an endgame watch with it being my default black dial bracelet watch or black bezel diver.
@engineer_wannabe4 жыл бұрын
Yes sir, I remember you posting that :) I can definitely see this being an endgame/exit watch....for someone out there ;)

I have the same size wrist. Would you prefer this watch over the new Black Bay 58? Why? Thank you and enjoy your Omega. It is very versatile and beautiful watch.
@steven43494 жыл бұрын
I heard the black bay 58, despite its 39mm diameter, the lug to lug is a bit long so I think it might be a bit big for a smaller wrist... I’m in the same dilemma as you
@LaBestia21563 жыл бұрын
@@steven4349 I had a great deal on a excellent condition black ceramic and I love it. I am also 6.25" wrist but I ordered a half link from my Omega dealer and solved the bracelet problem. I also prefer this model over the Black Bay 58 as it has its own style apart from the Submariner.

You sure you have 6.25inch wrists??? That looks huge on you.
@tohian Жыл бұрын
That’s what I was thinking too. I have even smaller wrists at 6.00 inches on the dot. A 36mm diameter, 42mm L2L watch like this one fits me absolutely perfectly. Maybe it’s the camera angle but this looks more like a 40/41. Either that or his wrists are 5.75.
