MidTower Deluxe sprung a coolant leak! Fix or go back to air cooling?

I've taken a long break from posting videos here as I have been dealing with personal stuff and needed a long "vacation" from doing computer tech videos... however this weekend, the water pump on the MidTower Deluxe sprung a leak, which will require replacing the pump. But... with the current setup this system has, there really isn't a need for water cooling, so...
Do I replace the pump and keep this machine water cooled.
Or, do I gut the water cooling components off the system and go back to the simplicity of air cooling. I should note, if I do strip this system of its beloved radiator its sported since 2010, that doesn't mean it's going away permanently. I very well could go back to water cooling in the future should the need arise.

Hi Nick, now that your water cooling is down you can take the fitting that is too long and cut it shorter. You need a bench vise and grinder. A welders shop can fix it in about a minute. Since you're not overclocking, I recommend a third party heatsink Sythe Mugen 5. I have 4 of them going including my main rig. When the fans speed up it's not very long. The upgrade you mentioned, the am4 5000 series cpu and board prices are getting better. Am5 is way too fast, unless you start serious gaming or video editing for Hollywood, am4 is probably the perfect setup for home computing. Water cooling and Murphys law!

My main rig has a ryzen 5 4650 pro w/ b550 board, 64g 2666 ram, Samsung 980pro boot drive. I have been running Linux mint as daily os and windows 10 pro in vm. I used the license key from my old threadripper and have built win 10 into a serious virtual pc. I have 2 in 1 going quite often. If you upgrade to ryzen 7 5700g, loose the gpu and try the Mugen 5, I think you will be happy.

i wood love to water cool my intel 9700 CPU but i wish i had more time of cooling with my PC but work life & hanging out with friend been token up my time

Zen 1 was a really efficient architecture (aside from the X variants having a stupid +20 degree offset for whatever reason) Heck even a 5900XT / 5950X would have no issue running off of decent air cooling like the Noctua NH-D15

If you find the advantages of going air cooled outweigh the disadvantages, just install a larger air cooler with one or two quiet fans and you should be all good. Also I would get rid of the Dynex PSU.

Nothing wrong with the PSU... I probably will stick with air cooling.
