I wasn't surprised when Soup Nazi got the attention of the Seinfeld writers...I was a frequent patron in the eighties and had admiration for the guy, after all he was serving a delicious product at a reasonable price while not letting NY'ers get away with expected entitlement. He’d try and try to embrace me, nah, he even made me stand up and order across the tiny dining room. It was upstairs, and you’d have to walk through the kitchen. He made me cry 1 time, I was pregnant and said I could only eat 🍲 soup. I still walk past it, but he’s passed away, sad.

Back in the seventys a deli on east Grand Ave. In Chicago called "Jerry's" treated people the Same. The menu was in the window. If you didn't know exactly what you wanted they'd cuss you out with every nasty word know to sailors.

@@jaysonb.6669 I remember a pizza restaurant in Chicago that served to most God awful pizza. Yet they seemed to stay in business in a city that prides itself on pizza better than New York.
