Get ready for a shit storm of uninformed nitrous hate. Guys, it is a legitimate power adder. The great thing about N2O is that your car can remain nearly stock if you want to spray a small amount, 50/75, or you can go wild with 250+ with a built engine. Nitrous is especially cool when you compound it with a turbo/sc system.

I think that most of the hatred towards Honda in general is that so many Honda owners (especially younger ones) does add too many RICE mods on their cars.. Like giant rear wings and "fart-cans" for instance.. Typically these cars are Civics, or CRX's Unmodified, or proper modified Hondas are actually quite nice cars.. And Honda have been making some great models as well.. like the S2000, NSX and the off-road CR-V

Hey Moog! Change out your OEM platinum spark plugs if you haven't already! Platinums are no good for NOS. They heat up way too much and can cause knocking when the nitrous ignites prematurely. Go with a set of coppers or something. Love the S2000. Anyone who hates on the car simply hasn't driven one yet, and if they have driven one, they probably know nothing about performance driving. the 2nd worst thing about honda's are the owners :) here's my quick and dirty honda tuning guide 1 large cannon exhaust TIP only 2 giant V-TECH sticker taking up 30% of the windscreen space 3 giant sub box taking up all of the boot 4 driving position something like a dentist chair 5 giant rims and some sort of stance to make you car undriveable and flog tyres out every 3 weeks 6 body kit from a different sort of car hacked on by your mates while downing a case of XXXX gold 7 stickers with lots of words like Xtreme and X games and other wrong use's of the letter X 8 tinted windows with bubbles in it 9 stick on hood vents 10 almost forgot lower it so it bottoms out on everything , wheels rub on the guards unless your going straight now this car is more than a match for any nissan silvia or skyline or toyota supra or wrx or v8 /turbo falcon or v8 commodore (in the owners mind)

All this Honda hate yet a properly tuned Honda can dominate in all disciples of racing from timed attack to drag racing. Top setup is proof that a we setup car can beat virtually anything. Ricers exist for any car. Muscle fanboys are the biggest ricers in tuning culture who get a pass all the time. Chrome wheels, shitty paintjobs, straight piped V8's from motor's making 300 to the wheel on a 4000+ pound car. If someone can't appreciate a properly sorted Honda, Nissan. Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Lexus or whatever! You have no place in car culture. You're no better than any fanboy claiming their car is the fastest thing getting onto the freeway.
@raydm401510 жыл бұрын
AMEN!
@d1sturb3d11910 жыл бұрын
Skylar Garrett Maybe but why does that matter. To a performance guy fast car is a fast car. I want something on a budget that can also get me to work in peace without breaking down. Honda's do that all day. A lot of tuned cars have more reliability issues as well. A tuned Honda still retains a motor that stays in tact and that is worth its weight in gold for me. Until I get to a point where I can have a car sit if it breaks a Honda is always going to have more value. Or even a Toyota for that matter.

Please read more, talk less. Its a budget car that can be good in the right hands. If you don't get that or find that appealing that's absolutely fine. But don't be a ignorant. Top Setup alone is proof that a well setup Honda can whoop ass on the track.

@fukkinkana8 жыл бұрын
And also what type of engine as well. Some engines handle nos better than others. Like with a chevy 350 you can keep your stock internals, run a 150 shot with a 1 second delay. Or you can have a 300 shot with a 2 second delay all on stock internals. Where this Honda I wouldn't go over 75 shot 1 second delay.

I hate Honduhs because most of the drivers think they have the coolest, fastest thing, and they certainly don't. (not to mention the Ricers) It's also annoying to have a car that you have to rev to 6k RPM to get any power out of it. It's cool that they spin to 9k RPM, but they still don't make any torque. Perhaps Honduh guys just think they're going fast because they're thrashing the motor, not because they're actually moving fast. On a side note, the S2000 is an amazing handling machine.
@Jeffball61010 жыл бұрын
When using a car on track, 6k RPM is perfectly acceptable (and yes, bikes are intended to rev much higher due to the traction limitations and the lack ob ability to use torque). A car that is driven on the street (which is what I was referring to since Honduh boyz have no idea where the track is) should make good power throughout the power band. I love 4 cylinder engines, and the 4G63 in particular. However, I think you're confusing my hate with Honduh owners vs. cars and engines in general. It's more about how these guys treat driving and customizing as opposed to the cars themselves.
@3ddie2110 жыл бұрын
Nobody thinks that, except for the ricers. Honda's aren't the only cars that get riced out.
@Jeffball61010 жыл бұрын
***** As I'm sure you noticed, I label them as "Honduh" guys to make my point of them being Ricers. As far as bikes having less room for displacement, you are incorrect. Several bikes are 1.6L or larger. I know of quite a few that are 2.0L 2 cylinder motors. Many current bikes are 4 cylinders. They have increased rev ranges to compensate for lack of torque and cannot use torque due to the components and physics in general since a single tire cannot effectively put the power to the ground. But that's off topic.
@Schafmeister200010 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Ball actually the F20C is tuned to deliver more torque than other na engines @ low RPM. S2k can cruise in 6th gear @ 30mph and pulls off better than most turbos in this power range. On street there is no need to go Vtec other than vroom vroom. Maybe you should drive one some time...
@Jeffball61010 жыл бұрын

I feel the only reason people hate honda/acura is because a car that was intended to be a economy car but turns out it CAN BE BUILT to destroy MANY, not all, cars on the track... As an integra owner I find it funny when I see other integra or civic owners spend around $7000 including the car and beat mustang gts that are claimed to be 500 bhp and other admired cars and here's the funny thing it was on a conservative tune. And there is a double standard, not so much in cali, for Hondas... You could "stance" a Subaru sti but it is not socially approved for one to "stance" a civic.... Only wanna be car enthusiasts can not respect others cars so the point is if you can't respect all car it is best for you to find a new hobby before a honda smokes you on the street or track.... what you didn't mention is that the power increase is almost constant from idle to max rpm and what that means when you do the sums is though there may only be 35 hp improvement at the bottom end that may translate to over 100% increase in torque. Its the bottom end improvement that makes it more usable than say simply increasing boost pressure using a turbo.

i love it when people bash nitrous. Half if not most of you have zero to no experience with it. Its not cheap to do, if you actually want a good reliable system. Its also not easy way to make power with, yeah sure some dumbasses strap a nitrous kit on their car and call it good. But in reality its pretty hard to get the perfect blend of the gas to fuel mixture so you dont run the car to rich or too lean, timing on the car has to be absolutely right or you wont make any real safe power. Also you have to keep the bottle heated to the right temp to keep the bottle at the right psi, or you wont get a good hit out of the pass. Some real, proper heaters are quite expensive, especially if you need multiple of them. Nitrous gets a really bad rep from people, but yet turbos and superchargers seem to be the absolute greatest things on the planet. I dont know i just feel that some people need to wake up and realize how much work goes into using nitrous in a real combo, and not just the dumb kid on their block or even FaF to be the bible on nitrous
@JonsGarage8910 жыл бұрын
Biggest issue with nitrous is the fact that you have to refill the bottle...AND its illegal to use on the streets. Thats why turbos and superchargers are much more common and loved. They have a one time purchase price and boom! power as long as its on there.
@custommotor10 жыл бұрын
Jon Woods agreed. on the strip it is a great way to make power. But on the roads where you need the same reliable power everyday supercharging and turbocharging are the way too go.
@ferlopez211610 жыл бұрын
Totally agree, here in America, at least by me, it's about 3.75 a pound of nitrous to the most of like maybe 5 bucks, it really does suck refilling them. But who uses nitrous on the street anyways besides people who street race.
@d1sturb3d11910 жыл бұрын
custommotor Certain motors are safer to spray than boost. The TL's motor for example is great to spray but boosting or supercharging it is not only expensive but requires a rebuild to get reliable power. Plenty of people running nitrous and keeping the motor reliable rather than building a forged motor for the street to run boost.

@eduardohernandez-rj8rb9 жыл бұрын
***** But when they add new aftermarket eshaust and put vinyls they sometimes take the time to make the performance better, see i live in the u.s. ( you probably live here too m8) and you will rarely see a honduh that is amazing in performance, don't get me worng honduhs are awesome but mostly people rice the hell out of them and it puts a bad rep.

OK So here is my prediction. Swarf from drilling the fuel rail or intake pipe either got into the engine or injector and / or blew the engine.There is no way on this planet I would have drilled the fuel rail with a drill at that speed and without sealing all the holes prior. Then I would have ran 140psi of air through it for a while.
@Brasco71610 жыл бұрын
as soon as i seen him put a drill to the rail i knew he was going to blow it!

@MyRotaryLife10 жыл бұрын
steezosaurusrex Yup. Maybe they did clean it and thought it didn't make for good footage....who knows. Personally I think he installed N2O to deliberately blow the engine forcing ten episodes of a low compression forged internals S2K build that is boosted to infinity and beyond.

As a honda guy, every ricer in my area has a civic. Civics are a cheap platform to build on, which attract usually those who can't afford performance mods but want that street cred yo! Also some honda guys are awful drivers and usually piss/scare other people off in traffic (me included). I have an 4-door accord with stock body, aftermarket exhaust, and saving for a suspension kit.
