Probably b/c kei trucks aren't really a thing outside of japan... I mean, the USA / AUS both have large spaces for big trucks, europe likes the small normal trucks... Only the high density cities / places like Japan really have a use for kei trucks specifically.

Depends how far back in history you go. Remember this is the midget II, the original midget from 50 years ago only had 3 wheels and far less power.

I'd blocked that thing from my memory. 🤢 I despise 3 wheeled vehicles with one wheel at the front, it's a recipe for dramatic unrecoverable oversteer or falling over. The most complimentary thing I can say is at least it's not an actual tricycle with a big fully stressed hinge trying to resist snapping off or binding from the twisting forces when cornering.
