I have been getting silent migraines for years, they knock me out for about 3 days with aura, visual disturbances and fatigue. Very unpleasant. This time last year I broke a tooth, an upper pre molar and it had to be removed. The dentist thought it had been dead for at least a year, possibly a lot longer. So it’s been a year and I’ve gone from 1 or 2 migraines a month to none. I haven’t had a migraine since the day that tooth was removed. I’ve even started eating chocolate, drinking tea and wine again, nothing is happening and fingers crossed long may it last!

@BFaluup I have had brainstem migraine on and off for 30 years. Some are silent and some give me pain. For me I get vertigo and loss of balance, occasionally zig zags in my eyes. Many have no headache but just the vertigo.

Yes I couldn’t explain to my doctor…menopause was setting in too….didnt know what was up and she said they’re migraines! I never get the ache. So I always said I never get headaches. I get auras too but the feeling of fading out is one and kind of disoriented was what I could not explain.

Mines are visual effects + anxiety, fear and a little of “dumbness” in that moment. Last time it took me 10 minutes to call taxi through app when it starts. One part of head blinded by that blinging neon imaginary lights, the other is in pure primitive fear. Too uncomfortable 😳

3 weeks ago I ended up in A&E they suspected a TIA aka a mini stroke I’ve had an MRI a week later and I’m waiting on the results but I think this is what caused it. Although I’ve not got my results yet I’m feeling calmer after seeing this.

I have this type of migraine once or twice a year. My symptoms last under an hour and include the zigzag or blotches in vision and sometimes numbness of hands, arms and face. Also have confusion of thought. Was diagnosed with silent migraine probably about 8 years ago

@libbylandscape356010 ай бұрын
They’re not rare. I’ve had migraines for a good 63 years, first one was when I was 7. By the time I was in my 20’s the aura’s & pain split: aura’s w/o pain, pain w/o aura’s. It’s not uncommon at all as most neurologists know. As I grew older more “aura’s” continued to develop including difficulty in speech, coordination…with nausea becoming the best indicator of an incoming migraine, so much so that if I can stop the nausea then often the migraine won’t develop. The transient blind spots are just a part of life and don’t mean anything, they’re not connected to headaches or pain and often are gone in moments or minutes. For me my migraines have cycles running 5-6 weeks or longer, starting out as very weak then building up into intolerable. Currently I take 5 Rx to keep them under control and pain at a minimum so I can function, and without the meds I don’t know what I’d do, I’m really glad these meds were invented.

Had the aura without headache since New Year's Day 2000, would get maybe 1 every 3 months, sometimes more. Now recently getting them frequently, and are changing pattern to very small zig zag that last 10 minutes. Used to be the larger ones that lasted 30-40 minutes. Still no headache involved. Last couple of months this has been happening.

U can control the panic when the vision problem starts. When I had my first episode, the next 2 episodes happened almost after 8-9 months each. But recently I had around 4-5 episodes in just one month. The vision issue lasts for 15-30min(varies) and sometimes it was followed by light headache and acidity kinda of feeling. Dunno how this sounds but it’s scary when it actually happens
@RaeOno Жыл бұрын
I used to get intense hunger cravings and anxiety, confusion and mixed up my words. I kind of pinned it down to alcohol and hormones and occasional bright light exposure. I’m pretty used to one now and can easily identify when it’s happening so I don’t put myself in unsafe situations like driving or awkward social situations.

I have posted on this video before also. Happy to inform you all that my practitioner treated me well and I haven't had a single episode since past 6 months! The root cause was IBS! I never imagined that somehow stomach and vision were linked!! Also, this is hereditary!! My mom had it in her 30s and unluckily I started having too at similar age. Goodluck to all with their journey!❤

Had my very first one of these a couple of weeks ago. Never knew this was even possible.. Nausea and lightly confused.. I wouldn't have known it was a migraine if it wasn't for the excessive yawning I usually get. Took the triptans and it went away after a very short time.. and that was having this the entire day.

So thats whats been going on. I had this happen to me over a decade ago. Blurry vision where I couldn't focus on what I was looking at, small blind spots that got worse over the span of 15-30 min and that lasted about 45 min before subsiding. Then I'm left with a minor headache. It happened for the first time in over a decade today. No pain during the migrane and I have no idea what the triggers are. At least I know what it is now.

I had one yesterday both eyes had it most of the time starts on the right side seeing flickering of beautiful shapes that get bigger and bigger, before it started (I think15min or so) I did feel extremely cold. This is not the first time so what I did was just lay down put some relaxation music on and closed my eyes... still seeing the beautiful square shapes moving bigger until they disappeared. It took up to 30min till it was clear and was a bit confused and felt slower then usual. I get this reaction sometimes when I eat salmon or fish sauce but can't remember eating any of it this time. Never went to a doctor for it though I always try to cope as it goes away by itself.

i see a kinda blurry spot, looks a bit like when there’s a spot of water on a window. Sometimes the visual seems to be outside of my field of vision? i also get kinda weirded out and it feels a bit unreal or something. Anyone here with the same symptoms? To add on; I’ve had regular headaches my whole life, maybe two days a week. maybe every two weeks i get a really strong headache, usually a neck massage and a nap helps, but painkillers etc. dont’t. I’ve had a migraine with the visuals a few times during my whole life, and after that i get a strong headache. Now i’ve had the visual and disoriented part without the headache a couple of times during the last month or so. Someone else with the same thing?
