King of the Road, one of the most catchy songs ever. When a kid I used to sing it over and over and over. Roger was so entertaining.

R.I.P. Joseph Seiffo. As kids, about 7 and 8, he took us in his brand b new convertable to the Dairy Queen, 15 miles away. Trailers for sale or rent was cranked as loud as it could go and on repeat. He'd just bought his sweetheart a platinum and diamond Engagement ring. We were in northern canada and she was in Spain while he was makjng his fourtune. Half an hour later, we were at the outdoor swimming pool...where he disappeared. Later that night, they brought his beautiful body up from the deep. What a sweet, hard working, good man he was. Steanger in a strange land.Gone too soon, always remembered 60 years later...this song.,.😢💔💞

"King of the Road" is the reason I learned to snap my fingers. It was the semi-permanent ear worm of my childhood (beginning in 1964 or -65, boosted by it being played a LOT on the radio for several years), and it continues to pop up in my mind by spells. Coming up on sixty years -- a long, long time, just as Jimmy said.

Our familiy goes to Wednesday night bible study at their home and he comes to our Sunday morning meeting in our home. I live with my oldest daughter and her wonderful husband.
