Ad Rock holds the mic and speaks as if he’s performing. Once the OG, always the OG.

It's nice seeing them smiling and joking, but you can really feel the absence of Yauch. Like obviously he's gone but...they're such a connected trio and they all played a role, with Yauch as the oldest and the leader, you can feel it. I love Mike and Adrock so much.

Are you actually a black woman? I don't understand why none of the hip hop stations ever play the beastie boys. I figure hip hop stations don't like white people because of the whole slavery thing.

"Paul's Boutique" is one of the GREATEST albums ever recorded!
@rickrecco143
@rickrecco143 7 жыл бұрын
I remember when that album came out. It took 3 years after license to Ill. And after all that time and 9 million albums sold it seemed people were burnt out on the Beastie Boys. I was there in the store the day Paul's Boutique came out and I was the only one. Like the Beastie Boys I was hanging out in NYC at the same clubs they were at the beginning, and in the meantime had moved to L.A. But I loved that album and listened to it over and over. Now it is considered a Masterpiece. I always knew it was.

Paul's Boutique was in my opinion the best album of the Beastie. It had as much sampling as Licenced to Ill, while it makes the connection between old rap and new rap. This was like fresh and brand new it is why it is so great, because it hasn't been done before. It made the Beasties for many years after...

they were and still are one of the best. most influential and unique for their time. it's so hard to see them without Yauch. he was the unofficial leader but they were all equal in their roles. this interview needed more stories about Yauch and a breakdown of each song on Paul's Boutique. #BeastieBoysForever
