Great juggler, but a farking BRILLIANT comedian. Absolutely love his deadpan style.

I couldn't say how many times I watched his street act in San Francisco up by Ghirardelli Square when I was there in 1978. It was all I could afford working a 50¢ an hour rigger's apprentice internship on a Museum ship called the Balclutha nearby on Fisherman's Wharf. His street act was very similar to what you see here, but back then he worked with an AMAZING dog. Years later, catching him on SNL, I could only think how well deserved it was that some wider success had come his way.

I have seen so many variations of his show, and I adore them all. He is a lost art these days! Comedians are scarcely funny anymore, but this guy has me laughing everytime.

I own Michael's former house on Willapa Bay. We are outside watching this while drinking Margaritas. Lots of fun. Great job Michael. i tell guests the studio was the world headquarters.

Been friends with Michael for some time now. Hell of a nice guy. Still performs periodically in the SF Bay Area.....

He should create his own KZbin channel and upload some original content. Who knows maybe he'll sign a Netflix deal and cash in those millions just like other comedians of different genres have like ventriloquists and such.

This show was done way back in the 80's, and Mike was a very original entertainer. I would have to guess they originated with him.

I saw that appearance he made, and liked it quite a bit. Pretty solid skills as well.

How funny. I have a cleaver named Beaver. Now I will also name my knife Mac. Thank you for the upload. I found that very entertaining. Mike Davis seems like a good guy.

@v8volvo My memory of "More than a box" was by Duck's Breath Mystery Theatre in Iowa City before they left for San Francisco in 1975-ish. It was quick improv, always different uses for a box in an infommercial.

Anyone remember "more than a box" bit he did on SNL years ago? Would love to see that posted! :-D

Actually, a great one today is Ron Pearson who I've seen on "Bananas", a Christian comedy cable program. A wilder touch with more audience interaction. There are several videos on YT to check out. I might post some more since he has some great bits including the unicycle routine.

VERY cool show, but strangely I have seen many of these jokes done by street jugglers. Who knows where they originated...

Not sure, but I know it had his name in it and was to the point. (The Mike Davis Special?)

exellent!!!!!

Had to stay within the 10 minute limit, but this was his whole juggling segment which was the best part. The rest was just milling through a party environment with snippits of a few "special guests". Nothing as memorable as Mike's act.

Thanks for the update, and time some others in this historic program got recognition. Who played the lead "hood" with lines and the ending bit?
@IBWIV15 жыл бұрын
Orignially recorded to VHS in LP mode. Not very good quality, not worth pursuing "commercial" gain, and this clip was the best part of the show.
