I can't believe how underrated Mike Einziger is. I have been a huge Incubus fan since their early days and since I play a little guitar, I have always been amazed by Mike's talent and creativity. When I first heard this song, I liked the guitar right away and when I read that it was Mike who had wrote it, it just made sense. This guy is one of the greatest guitarist of our generation. Simple yet great, and he plays so joyfully.

Pretty much all of A Crow Left of the Murder is great song after great song, but Sick Sad is probably my favorite, and that guitar solo is just on a whole different level. I don't have anything against Avicii. I do however get annoyed by his fans that state this is "his song". This was a collaboration. Mike Einziger wrote most of the chord progression with input from Avicii and Aloe Blacc wrote and sang the lyrics. Avicii took that and essentially made a remix of it with his music. Now it wouldn't have came to be without Avicii, but everyone needs to give credit where credit is due.

My cousin some years ago introduced me to avicii and all electronic music of the time like swedish hpuse mafia, alesso, etc. I just feel in love with this music at the first moment. He made a tatto of avicii in his chest years ago. So for me my cousin was the person that introduce me to all this music and the music i love nowadays (and more things like games) He was like a big brother for me. Today my family and i have buried my cousin of 27 year old of selfkill. I just put this song, wake me up, and this cover version, in the moment he was being cremated. i will remeber this song to the last day of my life. No, I didn't think that because I actually happen to have a brain. Avicii, like most other EDM artists, make the background music. Most of the time the singer just sings the lyrics, while the song's artist writes the lyrics and makes the beat.
