We all watched the 2021 team rattle off 7 straight L’s and follow it up with 7 straight W’s. And it’s not like we lost to 7 good teams and then beat 7 bad teams that year. We lost to some bad teams, we lost to some good teams. We beat some bad teams, we beat some good teams. And I know for certain that we have a better team than what we had that year. They didn’t even play like a team that season. They play like a team now. As long as they have their leader out there driving them. Just like every other team in history.

I agree with Mike that the squad is better than the record suggests but I pin a big share of responsibility for that on him. These guys were not ready early in the season and he took 6 weeks to figure out how to prepare a running attack…

Untimely penalties, turnovers, undisciplined play, players not playing up to their talent level. Players must own up to their role in the fiasco that is this season, but coaches must need to be called into question also. They set the tone and at this point the tone is not good at all.

They are a better team than their record says they are. They are unfortunately connected to their record anyways though. That’s just a part of it. But you can’t tell me after watching the last two games, that they aren’t a better team than what they had shown for the month prior to then. But, the only way to get through it at this point is to put the onus on the players to hold each other accountable. They know that they can play better than they did before Tua came back. They know that they can play better than they have the last two games. But it comes down to guys holding each other accountable and not accepting anything less than that from each other. Then it gets a lot easier for the coaches to focus more on coaching situational awareness and less on making sure guys are doing the things that they should already know to do, without having to be told by a coach.

The backup QB assessment was nothing short of gross negligence knowing Tua injury history. His 17 games played last year was an outlier in his career. If they saw something in Skylar T. which suggested competence - then they have no ability to assess talent at this level. Other teams compete with backup QBs - Miami was challenged to score 9 points.

Skylar got hurt. He played a whopping 3 quarters in his 1st start. Who knows how good Skylar would have been as a back up had he not got hurt. So if they signed a veteran back up.. what if he got hurt?

IF and BIG IF, we stay healthy and play like we did against Buffalo EVERY WEEK. Our schedule going forward isn’t too bad. Only opponents to worry about is GreenBay and Houston. We could absolutely win out, Houston hasn’t looked great against good teams (like us last year lol) and greenbay has to worry about Jordan love staying healthy. Tired of everyone being so negative all the time, if we keep putting together 4 good quarters of football and cut down on the mistakes we can make the playoffs. Argue wit ya mama

I don't think they should sell out after what they showed in that bills game. Obviously, we aren't going to the Super Bowl, probably won't even make playoffs, and will need to fight just to finish .500... The season can still be made to be productive and a stepping stone. Keep practicing and playing like yesterday and keep building on it. Then we'll have 10 games worth of film to analyze and decide what needs to be done. There's no sense in blowing it up right now, play hard and finish the season.

At this point, McDaniel is the core of the problem. He seems unable to address obvious issues and is overly focused on offense. McDaniel runs the most undisciplined squad I've seen. He inherited a 9-8 team from Flores and has done nothing with it. The are abysmal against quality teams, unable to every look good on prime time and screw up every critical game. The team looked cleaner and more capable under Flores, so that isn't progress.

I agree with you that McDaniel is a problem, but Grier is the bigger problem. The way the team is built from the outside in and not the inside out is not sustainable.

You're giving Flores way too much credit. He absolutely sucked as a head coach and both him and McDaniel are total losers without Tua so stop defending Flores like it was all him, it wasn't. It was Tua that led them to wins, they started 1-7 including going 1-4 without Tua and once he returned they won 8 of their last 9 games

@@gregtrust5599 I totally agree with you on Flores. I wasn't trying to say that Flores was doing great, just that the team really hasn't improved since he left. Both Flores and McDaniel have their talents but as HC - swing and a miss. As far as Tua goes, he can juice up the offense but clearly can't win games on his own. Also, he is simply not a player that can be counted on to stay in the game. McDaniel should have insured a solid backup qb was in position, but didn't.

​@whitehershynick9830 hate to break it to ya but Tua outplayed Allen, easily. He was the better QB and absolutely shredded the bills defense, 25/28 just unstoppable. The defense sucked, bills actually have a good defense, unlike Miami. Tua was just too good
