Really you think? In my professional opinion the diet he explained will work for the freak of nature known as the Titan. An ordinary athlete eating 300 grams of carbs will never have a six pack......Unless they do 3 plus hours cardio a day. If Mona is eating 1200 cals worth carbs daily than I would like to see a panel on her. She must be exhibiting hyperthyroidism, abnormally high blood glucose levels or her body is producing far to many white blood cells. There is one other answer for such high carbohydrate demand "entertainment purposes only". The daily use of low dose pharmaceutical grade HGH taken over a prolonged period of time. This hormone is the only hormone that will allow you to eat like you were 14 again, to quote Mike's words. His training info is top notch but Imo this diet info will lead to little or no results on bf

I would never claim to know more than Mike but please don't take his diet principles as the only way. I've trained many NPC competitors who've went on to get pro cards and my athletes were always the most conditioned on stage. I myself always walked on stage at 5 percent bf or lower and I can tell you Mike's diet works well for the freak that is Titan. None of my national level athletes ever took in more than 100 grams of carbs daily except for refeeds prior to a show. 200 grams of clean protein was also on the high end for my people, add a little healthy fat and you have yourself 1200 calories a day. According to Mike this would cause your metabolism to slow down.....100 percent false. Metabolism is a misunderstood and misused word. So it you eat 300 grams of carbs as the video suggests that's approximately 1200 calories you have to burn before your body can even contemplate using its stored fat reserves. This is counterproductive to losing bf, I'll gladly debate this with Mike anytime. Another pitfall he's directing clients toward is eating large quantities of fruit in the evening.........WTF? Why would anyone want to ingest that amount of simple sugar at a time when your energy expenditure is low. This evening simple sugar meal will be stored as glycogen or possibly fat depending on your glucose stores. This meal alone kills the bodies ideal time for fat burning, when you sleep. If your glycogen stores are on empty at bedtime your body will slowly dip into its fat stores to maintain homeostasis. The biggest benefit of mobilizing fat while you sleep is no cravings and your lifestyle won't interfere with how the body is hardwired to prioritize it's maintenance functions

Protein is the only micronutrient that impacts cellular growth and repair

Would love to meet him and get even more free advice. Maybe some of you younger guys should come back to this video when you hit 50 years old and post a picture of yourself. You have no idea how hard it is to maintain a physique like Mike's. I don't care if you pump every steroid known to man in you, you wont look like Mike. Ive seen guys on gear that don't even look like they have ever touched a weight. I truly can appreciate what this guy looks like. Why? because I have over thirty years in the gym and have put in a ton of time effort and sweat there. I love it! One thing I've learned as I get older is to listen to people who are better than you. I don't think Mike can be beat as far as advice goes. Would love to train with this guy, but running my own company with three small children time is everything to me. Therefore, I spend all my drive time absorbing new tips from people like Mike. Hit the gym with positive energy and hopes for improvements every time I go. No excuses. One thing the Marine Corps taught me was to never quit, reminds me a lot of Mike's attitude. Always looking to get better. Good stuff Mike, these are all things I’ve learned and realized myself with my own body. AWESOME to hear them from you to confirm what I’ve been realizing and doing. 49 1/2 eating full range of foods carbs veggies and protein and staying at 200lbs 7 % ish. I love eating a pizza and not gaining as a result always had that haha. I fully notice the more carbs I eat and the timing of the intake, my metabolism revs up. First meal is immediately upon waking full serving of ground oatmeal, banana, almond butter, protein scoop blend and drink. Off to work then eat breakfast ect..... great honest content here. I’ll have to by another shirt 😂💪🏻🙏🏻
@chrissuponcic51814 жыл бұрын
I glad this is working for you but metabolisms don't rev up. Metabolism simply refers how hard your making your body work to achieve homeostasis. Homeostasis means the body wants to remain the same but if your eating more carbs now the body has to accelerate dozens of unseen reactions trying to lower blood glucose levels. This over compensation quickly attracts side effects like reduced insulin sensitivity, glycogen spillover and increased aromatization
@chrissuponcic51814 жыл бұрын
Oh your first meal / shake contains all complex carbs and some fats, totally counterproductive. The body will use the fats first because the body cannot store them. After which the oatmeal and banana are slower burning carbs which will digest even slower because of the fiber in the oats and fruit. To add to this already slow digestion the almond butter will take your fast acting whey and quadruple the amount of time before it enters the bodies amino pool. The better option would be whey isolate in water, drink immediately upon waking up. The body still has a higher concentration of blood in the stomach which will be directed to the extremities approximately 45 to 55 minutes. By drinking the whey isolate during this window it's quickly absorbed and brought into the amino pool to be sent to the bodies extremities. 25 minutes after your shake you'll want 50 carbs, 20 from a simple source like honey and 30 from a complex source like rice cakes. The simple sugar will help shuttle the shakes aminos while the complex will slowly make their way into your blood stream providing a more stable energy throughout your morning

I disagree that once your body runs out of carbohydrates it goes straight to using protein as energy. It doesn't, it uses fats. Fats are stored energy, put away for times of hunger etc. Its a survival mechanism, Why would the body go to all that trouble of storing fats as energy if its just going use protein? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ why would the body break down its muscle tissue to survive when you wouldn't survive without muscle? The body will try to preserve muscle for as long as possible, if that was the case. I'm not saying you are wrong mike, that's just the way i understand it, if i am wrong then please correct me 👍

Mike looks better in his late 40s than he did in his 30s. Why? Steroids? You think he starting using more as he got older? No. All he did was keep doing what he was already doing, which was getting better each day. Keep it up Mike, can't wait until you're 60 and blowing everyone away with your example.

@@timpan0 One things for sure.....Mike has not spend the last 30yrs on a big cycle. He looks big all year round. Good health, skin, strength, clearly no joint tendon issues. He's a freak! Any one of us on his "supplements" would never be Mike O Hearn.

@@everready2903 Only thing I'm saying is that he certainly took something get that ripped and big at the same time. Not 100% natty. And to be frank, I don't really care If he is or not but If he just would have said what he took, fine.
