My father passed away from cancer a year ago today and a week later 2 days after his funeral my girlfriend and I got into a fight and she broke up with me. Losing your father is one of the most painful things in the world. You have to just remember their life and continue living. Take that pain and throw it into something whether it may be exercise reading writing working just something productive. Godspeed my friend. I have felt your pain.

Move on got me through a traumatic darkness that almost swallowed me whole. I was going through my toughest emotional breakdown but then stumbled upon it and live before I die, hit my homie up n told him to youtube both of them. It was 24 Dec 2019. Next day, it was Christmas!! So my boy and I took our salaries n run off to the country side while listening to move on and live before I die on repeat with liquor bottles and got the whole back end of the bus drunk n dancin 😄. And I can say that that is still my favorite Christmas of all time. All of that, came from the idea of traveling like mike did in the song …to free our minds. So thank you Mike 🙏🏾🫡 never stop.

I don't listen to your music a lot but this one came up in my suggested today. I have been feeling off myself for a while now, no motivation, encasing myself in numbness, and I'm proud to say that this actually moved me, made me want to get out of bed and TRY. Yes life is hard, it throws curveballs, but you have to roll with the punches to be able to live. Good luck with your journey!

Hey! I do! Although I don't think i'll take up surfing because I'm terribly uncoordinated, i do agree getting out fresh air and swimming and being with nature makes you feel sooo much better!

It's been three weeks since I lost my father. He was only 54. I haven't been able to cry that much but I miss him and it still doesn't feel like he's gone. I'm turning 26 in a few days and this will be the first birthday I'd be having without him in my life anymore. I cried while watching this video because I've been feeling off recently like I'm just not myself anymore. Instead of crying because I'm sad I just get pain in my chest because I'm confused. It scares me and I don't know how to tell anyone because I don't open up to people.

All of that, came from the idea of traveling like mike did in the song(he actually did it real life, no bs*) …to free our minds. Thank you Mike ❤️🔥

This Man has been through a lot. Like he had one of the top songs on the radio back in 2010 then to being classified as a one hit wonder and releasing music that was doing bad on the billboard then in 2016 to be back on the charts *Thanks too the Seeb remix* and releasing music that tells the truth. Not just fantasies or another story, The truth. This man was back on the charts and in the past four years ever since the blow out of "I took a pill in Ibiza" His Dad was diagnosed with Cancer too the brain,Stopped smoking weed and walked across America and being bit in the process and was on the verge of death. Played free shows for the small towns and cities in parks or collages. Picked up the guitar and grew a beard. Mike has changed since he started his music career back then. His music style has changed, Mind set and how he does things. Maybe he isn't as cool then he was back then. He wanted to change instead of sitting there all stoned. Sorry if I made any mistakes or Grammer stuff. Have a great day *or night* Have a good one! -Random Canadian

Sorry bud. My dad passed away from melanoma that metastasized up his spine and to his brain about 4 years ago. It was a horrible experience seeing a love one fall apart like that. It took me a long time to stop thinking about the worst moments. They replayed in my head for almost 2 years. Definitely can feel stuck in those moments. Been listening to your interviews and songs today just by chance and I like the vibes. Maybe I’ll run into you in person some day out here in the big ole world and say what’s up.

(Lyrics) I wish Tracy Chapman was my friend She would know exactly what to say Beginnings always hide themselves in ends At some point, I will be okay I got high when I met you I got high to forget you I feel pain, I don't want to But I have to, yeah, I have to If I want to move on Move on Move on Move on If I want to move on Move on Move on Move on If I want to move on (move on) Move on (move on) Move on (move on) Move on If I want to move on (move on) Move on (move on) Move on (move on) Move on Went to see some shaman in Malay To hear some things I wanted to hear Everyone just wants to feel good Everyone just wants to disappear Call up girls that live in my hometown To help fill up the minutes Lit a match and saged my house down It didn't make a difference So I got high when I met you I got high to forget you I feel pain, I don't want to But I have to, yeah, I have to If I want to move on Move on Move on Move on If I want to move on Move on Move on Move on If I want to move on (move on) Move on (move on) Move on (move on) I know I got to move on (move on) Move on (move on) Move on (move on) Move on
