Really like the character of Mike in this. Kind of related to him as the down on his luck, lowkey kind of depressed guy. I was feeling the same around the time this came out. Had no job, no aspirations, sleep deprived and also lowkey depressed. We need more characters like him.

Just like the original premise of the first game, you're just a random guy, you weren't the son of some psychopath, or worked in that place for a mission to save some children, Mike got that job by mistake, he got attached by mistake, and he realized untilnthe last act of the movie that his brother, Freddy's and the killer were all connected, he became the actual protagonist the moment they told him the Yellow Rabbit killed his brother, just like he killed those kids.
