I love how Mike is expressing mental health. The fact that a lot of people including Chester hide this and eventually eats you up inside. Mike expresses it through songs and isn't afraid to show us that he's struggling but also to stress that this is a serious illness that needs to he spoken about and Mike isn't scared to do so! Stay strong!
@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid3 жыл бұрын
I agree, except Chester did not hide his mental illnesses. He was very open about his struggles- ESPECIALLY in the last year of his life. Talked about it in the songs on One More Light, in interviews, etc. By the way, this was one of the reasons why the people closest to him did not realize he was struggling that badly, as weird as it sounds. I've seen multiple people who were close to him speak about that in interviews and panels, they said that they saw how he spoke about his depression in the press and so they thought it was a sign he was dealing with things and getting better.

Chester's death has been hard for me to consume. Losing a vocalist such as him and the music he and the band made together was so inspiring with great passion. Take away any part of that and you lose it all and without Chester, it's lost. They will go their separate ways and won't be sitting back at that campfire ever again.

I really like this interview more than some of the other's. An yes he does repeat alot fr interview to interview but its just the process. Sometimes things are tried or dine behind the scenes that fans did not ever know even went on. How was it having a band member with addictions an mental health? Like he said " you go to a professional ".... but I personally feel Chester over put himself out there. Working to much. But then maybe he had to keep busy an not get bored then isolate an the mind wonders. Mikes wife has talked about her mental health issue's also. So Im confused sometimes because if his own wife had m.H. issues then why the confusion about Chesters or " we didnt see it coming"..but then maybe they all didnt. I personally would not have left him alone on Chris Cornell's bday. Of ALL days!! Alone!! Geezzz...if only he had called but maybe it was getting to be a struggle to be just normal for an hr..who knows. But I like Mike. I like his album. If I ran into him on street I dont know...i might freak a little an would be nervous to ask for autograph or pic. Not to " show off" but just to put in my mind " hey I met Mike Shinoda on this day!!" I have mental health issues an its never same any day. Sometimes you wake an never know if its gonna be good or bad. But great interview fr Spike Minoda (I think that's what Chazzy called him sometimes). Peace #ripchesterb #ilikemike #blikemike

@@bobsidog oh got it. I do believe Chester got over his anger of Samantha divorcing him an they became friends slowly due to Dravin in the pic. Then towards end I think he did talk to her on occasion openly about what was going on with him. I mean they were married ..what..9 yrs? An he had love at first site with her at a concert for Grey Daze. She is older than he was. But she was sayin he wanted to divorce T. Im not sure about that. Who knows what all really happened. But Im going where is the rest of the band? I know Phoneix has pod cast but its like they all disappeared except Mike. Wierd. They all went thrue this. Losing a brother horrifically so why the Album by Mike? I guess thats just him though an how he processes sudden tragedy an a complete upside world in a split second. I would freak personally. Rt in middle of starting to really tour O.M.L. an those habits. Makin an album then promoting then touring an repeat. But of coarse losing a brother figure. After 20 something yrs....aweful. sad.

It's ok to give advice as it may help some people but if I want to kill myself some day it is solely my choice, celebrities don't know your circumstances, it is a human right to end your life when you want to, that's my view on suicide.
@vitorremor6 жыл бұрын
Sadly, I kind of agree with you, it is your choice, and your right. But it influences the people around you, and its kind of stop being only YOUR right too... idk, its such a complex and delicate subject and a huge taboo. Suicide is and is not a selfish thing at the same time.

I agree that it is a bad thing to do when you have close relations, I am 26 so I definitely will stay around 20 years as my parents will be alive but after that I won't really be hurting anyone that much, but who knows when I get to my 50s I may end up just deciding to keep living. Therapy is also a complicated matter, I believe many people are beyond that as their problems are too complicated, then there's medication, that brings more problems to the field because of the side effects.
@vitorremor6 жыл бұрын
I myself am a big fã of therapy, but it is complicate as hell too, not everyone can adapt with that, but being able to talk about mental health with non judgemental people is a wonderful thing, specially if is a professional... even if your problems are too complicated, sometimes just by sharing then, made it become less heavy, sometimes.... but in some cases, suicide really is the only way i guess :/ Medication is the worst... but is the only choice for those who desperatly want to keep on living Heavy stuff m.o'neill, but im open for more conversations if u want too
@yanacshell6 жыл бұрын
A person can may argue that it is the right of an individual to end his/her own life. But I think those contemplating suicide are in emotional pain. If the pain would stop, they would probably want to live instead.

In the end Mike realized he should’ve been there for Chester, but because of Mike’s EGO, he can only care about himself.
@bobsidog4 жыл бұрын
Koren Hogan A lot of those lyrics written by Chester, But Mike doesn’t give him credit for them anymore. In Wikipedia Mike has changed Chester to a “former member of the band” *at the very bottom* and mike lists all the other members as “founding members” ~ it now looks like Chester was fired from the band and has NO writing credit at all. Ya, Mike is definitely still envious of Chester. Sad.
