I think Shiela taking over is a big part in why they came back. She seems like a way more competent owner and hired people who knew what they’re doing. And she made the smart decision to come back to 97.1 and I think try to make amends with the station and Mike.

Valenti's agent and Valenti made this story up based on Lions PR having issues with what he says on the radio. Where is the proof, where does the management of 97.1 corroborate that this is the reason that negotiations failed? I don't doubt that Lions PR wanted him to lighten up, or they wouldn't be doing their job... But this is typical Mike, constantly spouting vitriolic statements.
