You are spot on about a mismatch between the song and the video. Maybe some diehard fan can give you an explanation, but as a "normal" fan, I cannot. The lyrics are written in a somewhat fascinating way, but are (apparently) simply about needing one's lover really close. This song is from their second album, and part of their earlier sound that some old fans prefer. But I dig their slightly more modern sound more. I'm uncertain which of their songs you'd like the most, but maybe you'd like one of Mirage, Palace & Main, Max 500? Their albums "Vapen & ammunition" and "Du & jag döden" are both fantastic, and lots of good songs on their other albums as well. Sadly, there's the language barrier ;-)

Mark backward is Kram and Kram means Hug in Swedish. Kräm means Cream, but can also mean really heavy output from a loudspeker.

Musically they are sort of the swedish "Suede", with a lot of the typical nordic melancholy in the tunes. They have also made several instrumental tracks that are more accessible.

As a native Swedish speaker I don't think theres an obvious connection between the lyrics and the video. My interpretation of the lyrics is mainly anxiety about intense emotions. Parts of it roughly translates to "no one should be allowed so close". Its certainly not a happy song.

Wow, thank you so much. Personally I see the song and video as separate enteties, both carrying a lot of meaning. The song for me is about personal integrity going too far and the video...let's just say that suicide sucks and I've been through too much of it. The video for me portrays the anger, guilt and hopelessness that comes with it. I love both the song and the video and I totally appreciate your reaction. Thanks again. What first caught me in this song, was the sentences "så nära får ingen gå" and "en rörelse i ögonvrån". It makes you think, but it doesn't translate well, sorry 'bout that. Something about no one can get that close and a movement in the corner of your eye. But it sounds great in swedish and it really hits my core, reflecting on topics previously discussed.

High guys, it’s been a long time since I’ve commented on any of your reactions ( I’ve been out of action ) & I’m with you 100 pc . I would also love to know the lyrics. There is suicide, anger & volatile frustration, coupled with a sense of utter devastation, & don’t forget the scalpel about to do an autopsy. I also found the video not matching the upbeat type music. Overall, this type of video is not what I would watch again. I know it’s trying to give a message, but not my cup of tea. Kent have a quite fanatic fanbase in Sweden but as a lot of the better Swedish music it's very lyric based so I have restrained from suggesting Swedish bands in Swedish, even with translation a lot of the nuances are missed.... not that this Kent song is especially deep. Kräm = Cream
