For me it's not so necessary to get an ipad (it can be quit expensive and other brands are good too ), i think that the big life saving for me was having two or more devices from the same company ( if you don't you can use apps like google app that will automatically synchronise everything). Writing things on my tablet and then have the possibly to chek my notes with my phone outside or on my way to my exam has saved me so many times !

@D0NT3L1NK well if you have a Samsung phone, you can use Samsung note ( I know it's the most basic one, but it really does a good job !) . I also use One note especially since I got a keyboard and remote it also good . Depends on how you like to take your notes

Get a refurbished iPad 6th gen with a cheap stylus and keyboard, trust me it does the job unless your a guy who will do 3D graphics or game simulation (super-rare) then I advise on going for the Mac airs (M2) base model.

I picked up a Galaxy Tab S8 last month and its amazing for £600 and came with a S Pen, cheaper then Ipad Air 5 and came with a pen too, if you are on a budget I recommend getting a Samsung tablet if its a good price on sake or other alternatives such as the Oneplus Pad, Xiaomi Pad or Honor Pad 13

It's good but the pen you get with it is just a normal pen (as same as you used your finger ) with the apple pen you get the added feature of orientation (that me and other painters use ) but yes my roommate has one and it is really good as a budget tablet

i have the biggest version (12.9”) and i’d honestly recommend the 11” for note taking. the 12.9” is too big and also heavier so harder to carry around, i often opted for hand written notes for my 2 first years of college since the ipad was a little inconvenient (i mostly used it for typed notes only). hope it helped! :)

@@Cyber.Dollie I agree with you. I previously had the first iPad Pro 9.7", and when the battery was no longer good enough I bought a 12.9" iPad Pro (M1). I just wanted the iPad Air at the time, but because of the chip shortage, only the 12.9" was available to purchase. It's great to have a bigger iPad, but the portability of it is pretty bad. It's far too heavy. Add on the Magic Keyboard and the it feels heavier than the MacBook Air. As an iPad you can take anywhere, or simply relax with on the sofa, the 11" is the better option in my opinion.

Note to self. Do not ever get Apple it's a piece of trash it ruined my life. It ruined my eardrums because I was trying to move out of my chair to get something quickly it tugged on my eardrum and made a huge loud ringging sound and it damaged my hearing by making is the hole in my ear bigger. @@RohitSharma0101 if you are an apple fanboi, go ahead, I can't convice you. Otherwise, Its very restrictive ecosystem. You can't download anything like you do in android or PC, ask anyone how do they share files / photos with others, its a pain. All the apps that exist in apple store are modified versions of original apps. So even your fav browser : firefox will be a mod of original restricting you to do anything productive, with no adblock whatsoever, no add-ons nothing. Oh did I mention, they don't have whatsApp, they have instagram which is the worst form of instagram in the any platform. The filesystem is a nightmare. Do yourself a favor, buy an android tab if you want a tab. Samsung looks pretty good.
