I worked in a Kerry foods factory in Burton on Trent (Staffordshire) that made all the Tesco finest meals after I left school. They had a staff shop where you could pretty much do your months shopping for about 20 pound a month. If I remember correctly the Curry's are about 30p there. Even as a broke ass student I would not eat that shit. I seen a guy drop a tray of chocolate cakes once there and just pick them up and ship them. There was also a issue with someone intentionally putting bits of rubber gloves in meals we never did figure out who it was. Oh and there was a job putting lids on to the ready meals , it cut your fingers to pieces. I often seen guys with bleeding fingers and there rubber gloves cut by there nails on the finger tips bleeding into the food. Most wouldn't report it because we would have to stop the entire line and destroy all the food. The most disgusting thing there was a wellie room that had wellies provided for you. Often you would be putting on warm wellies that someone before you had just done a 12 hour shift in. Then you would take them off and someone else would stick them on. Enjoy your food though 😂😂.

@bradoldridge94106 жыл бұрын
In comparison to what he normally has to eat during week ons with the cheapest products on the market, average/slightly above average price products shock him. Obviously you can grab a whole bag of like 20 frozen sausages from most supermarkets that taste alright.. Or grab some nice butcher sausages, but you only get about 6-8 for the price of those 20.
@bradoldridge94106 жыл бұрын
@michael browne I don't understand the point of your comment. We all know the nutritional values of those dirt cheap food items are poor.. No point did I debate that 😂
@celticbarry98776 жыл бұрын
It's not expensive individually but in total. £20 he spent on food that day is a lot just for home cooking. He could have got takeaway food like a coffee, sandwich and donut from greggs for breakfast, a big mac meal for lunch nd then a curry for £20 and not have to cook anything.
@Adrastia6 жыл бұрын
I don't know the equivalent in freedom bux, but $2.50 for not frozen sausages is pretty cheap. Of course the cost of food here is crazy. Isee people loading up carts in overpriced places like Target and have no idea how they can afford it. I sure can't.

I now eat mostly saturated fat. The evidence for its being bad for the heart is shaky at best. I wish I could get beurre d’Isigny that easily here... usually it’s just Kerrygold Irish butter. So leeks equal posh ready-made food? Does Tesco’s Finest include ingredients like raw potatoes, raw meat, eggs, flour? Or do you have to eat mostly ready-made food, which is usually more expensive?
@LauraBidingCitizen6 жыл бұрын
markiangooley I’ve recently purchased Tesco finest potatoes because they’re really buttery (so don’t need much adding to them for mash.. cutting back on certain things), so yes, they do indeed do Tesco finest in veg / fruit etc. But since it’s Mike.. As far as I know, you haven't done a week on weight watchers yet. They have decent frozen meals, soups and deserts. Maybe a week on that would be interesting. Also cause I noticed that Mike likes to bend the rules at times. Items can only purchased from the weight watchers range. So if he gets veggies from the supermarket, that would not be allowed. If he uses salt, butter, etc that is not from weight watchers also not allowed. He is allowed to drink tap water but no drink that isn't from the weight watchers range.
