I missed one relationship because the girl I was engaged to was told not to marry a foreigner, because they kill their wives. She got this stuff from her friends who read it in the Philippine newspapers that a foreigner killed his Filipina wife. They ganged on her until she started to believe it, so she left the relationship. This too will get out and make it more difficult for foreigners to find women in the Philippines.

What stands out in your video Mike about the woman is at 10:40 ...:always got so emotional" ...and argumentative" "sitting in the corner crying"..."yelling at him". This sounds very much like the woman using this behaviour to prevent any real discussion about the relationship. If a man did these things to a woman [especially in the west] you would hear how he was abusing her. Men get left / ghosted all the time and all we can do is move on. If a man started contacting all the woman's friends & family, you would hear he was stalking her. Sounds like the guy took the only way out that was being left to him.

You are an excellent storyteller Mike. I want to acknowledge that. It’s a gift. I agree 70 is not old. I’m close and I am more capable and vital than almost anytime, plus the maturity, good judgment, wisdom, insight and humility. I’ve had to break up. It is hard. When I first meet I look for emotional stability. Thats very important. Also in the basic human rights a person has the right to change their mind. It takes years to know someone. Sometimes people don’t reveal important things until years later. I’ve had experiences like that. “To thine own self be true”. Honesty with oneself is critical and honesty with a partner is critical. If someone honestly tries many times to break up civilly, and it’s too dangerous or emotionally fearing, then possibly just detaching physically is necessary. We have only one life. We have to live our own life. I agree George could have sent an email letting her know his decision and possibly send her some money to help her for a while like Reekay suggests. Great video.

I've been in that exact situation. I believe George did it the right. Otherwise she's just gonna keep going and going and he's not even gonna to be able to get out the door. Let alone try to get to the Airport. She's gonna be right on his coat tail until he steps onto the plane. I know it's not the way you would do it. But I believe George did it right. Even if you don't agree with him. He's 70+ years old and didn't want to deal with all the drama even though he probably feels bad about it. He just wanted out.

You sure have double standards here , she might of been very nice and kind according to you, but who knows what goes on behind closed doors , so he just left and dissapeared , thats his business ,and when the gloss wears down to the undercoat its time to go, emotional blackmail is one thing , living the life that makes you unhappy is another , and why leave better than you found them , you've done your bit during the relationship, its time to move on for both of them , she can meet another so can he , seems its ok for you all to up and go when your in that states , but do it in the Philippines all hell lets loose , if he's had enough I don't blame him for doing one , so would I , good luck George

If the foreginer has no intention of marrying a Filipina within 3 years, it's better for a Filipina to find another partner. He didn't give her an opportunity to see the US and become a greencard holder. What he did, he planned it from day 1. Tell George not to comeback. He is not welcome here anymore.

Give her a chance to change and improve if there was some minor issues…always be honest! Break ups are hard! I hope I never have a break up with my Filipina! I’m just getting started first 2 weeks together and looking forward to planning my next trip!

That's one thing about filipinas they're very quick to fall in love with you But when they do... They do it for a lifetime... Then they introduce you to their family and their family falls in love with you too and they're very happy for the Filipina.... The embarrassment and the shame when the Filipina has to move back in with her family is devastating... And you're absolutely right be upfront and honest about your intentions... Just tell her you're in it for fun and games.... Or you want a serious relationship Great video

Once he got to the States and decided to stay, he should have been clear with her and let her know. But in his defense, it seems that problems built up over the years, and he had enough. Sometimes things get to a breaking point, and we need to move on.
@anaveragejoeslife8 ай бұрын
Personally, I think the only issue is not just telling her once he was back in the States that he didn't plan to return. Give her a clean break, and if she persisted and wouldn't accept it, then ghost her. At the least, let her know to move on.

The only way to handle a narcissist is to go "no contact". Anyone who has trauma from a REAL narcissist.. will know whats talking about. Narcissists will also manipulate and create fake narratives to try to get everyone against the victim. But i assume that Maria in this video was nit such type of girl.

Hey Mike, how are you brother? I believe that you can still have a beautiful, committed, loyal, trustworthy, respectful, loving, affectionate relationship, not cohabitating together. You have your own place, and she has her own place. I would be a gentleman and I would assist with her expenses. She spends time at your place. You can spend time at her place. That avoids all the issues if the relationship goes south. Just my opinion. 🐸✌🏽

The issue is that many filipinas in their 20s still live with their parents and siblings, especially if they are still going to school. If they have their own place in a lot of cases it is just a bed in a boarding house or very small room, that you wouldn't be comfortable in. The Philippines is not like the west, most earn and live off of $200- $400 per month.

As for leaving them better than you found them isn't much of a consolation. The girl goes back home in disgrace. You may as well have just left her a $100 on the night stand for her, she gets out of the shower after a night together so you can leave without feeling guilty. Leaving them something before you leave I think would be more of a slap in the face. It just makes her probably feel cheap 🤬🤬✌🏽❤️
