I worked for a school district in maintenance, one of the teachers had a green metal desk like that. We called it the Carrier, as in Aircraft Carrier. We all hated moving that thing!

The metal desk is a year older than I am. Those were everywhere for a while, because you couldn't kill them. Awesome things. The paper cutter is more 1970. Sharpen the blade up a bit and she'll go another 50 years with no problem. And we've got a spaceship. Ho gauge alas, but a spaceship. Somebody call Ant Man!

Yep I worked at Cat for 37 years and there were thousands of them all over the offices all the way into the late 80s / 90s and there were still lots left in the shop areas into the 2010's. bullet proof

That desk is four years older than I am..I’m 55 y/o. Nope; I do not move like that. 😂 I wouldn’t dare. Mike reminds me an awful lot of my little brother..who would’ve been 49 ys/o on his last birthday. It was Mike’s riding around on his skateboard and bike looking through the dumpsters that was the hook, for me. 😂 I suspect The Scavenger may have arrived in the world in the mid to the later ‘70’s..? 9:55 that’s a set of old slim Jims for opening car Doors. Snap on used to sell them . I had to get one when I worked a Hertz car rental. Customers would park there car in no parking zones with the keys in it. I got fast at it,40 years ago.

Mike, the slim jim is not to be used on the newer cars. There have been a few incidents where the side airbags have deployed. In one incident, the airbag drove the slim jim through the officers throat, killing him.
