I've done Tokyo with some of my exchange classmates in '11! What's most amazing if you're from America visiting tokyo is that if you leave on Christmas Day (around 9pm Japan time), you can fly back to America and spend christmas again because of the time zone difference lol. It was awesome to have 2 Christmases back to back.

What is not to like? The social standards I suppose for work and family life. For the Japanese it's okay but people who live outside Japan its a mixed opinion (some would even argue its really bad). Most areas here in Japan are clean but very expensive.

I'd also like to point out Japan has a serious issue with overworking employees and from time to time while waiting for the Train we would get delays that are caused by suicides (people jumping off the rails) most common in Chuo line (where I frequently travel on).

I'm late. People already commented about the Ginger flavor Kit Kat, the lack of trash cans, the masks, how Christmas is not a big deal in Japan, more like a "holiday" than family wise... There's not much left to say. I took JLPT N5 and N4 a long time ago. I studied a lot for N3 but didn't attend the test. If I was not locked up in my room 24/7, Japan and South Korea would be definitely my first destinations.

There are no smoking sections in some restaurants in Japan, such as at some chain restaurants. It probably depends on the size and type of restaurant. Not all restaurants in Japan have diners smoking there. Even on the streets, it is uncommon to see someone smoking while walking. (Except for that guy in Shinjuku walking behind Mikey...😆) In Tokyo, at some larger train stations, they even have smoking rooms. So that smokers can go smoke in them, without polluting the air for everyone else. There are a few at Tokyo Station. Odd to see, when there is a glass enclosed room full of people smoking. I doubt people usually smoke randomly out in public, since littering is prohibited and people actually try to follow that rule.

Why are the fruits so expensive?
@skystar12378 жыл бұрын
They don't really grow a lot of fruit in Japan so they have to have it imported which makes it so pricey
@lonestar44548 жыл бұрын
jasmine The fruit he was showing is specially growing in Japan. For some reason japanese like doing some crazy stuff with there fruit either it be making them super huge or growing them into different shapes. They also are so suppose be much more flavorful.
@HotInTheCity8 жыл бұрын
jasmine The expensive fruits sold at the department store are meant as gifts. They are grown especially for that purpose. To look "perfect" and taste sweeter. If you buy fruits for your own consumption, such as at a convenience store or the supermarket, it is much more reasonably priced. In general, fruits are expensive in Japan, but not that much more. They do grow many varieties of fruits, but have high standards and that probably leads to fruits being a bit pricier than elsewhere.
