In this position if the black king moves near rook avoiding the checkmate, it looses it queen making white one point ahead and also a pawn to become a queen is unstoppable and once it does that, it is mate for sure in a few moves.

Black king moves to left, pawn promotes to queen gives check to black king, black king moves above black rook, (promoted)white queen takes black rook gives another check, then black king takes white queen, white knight at c3 takes black queen resulting in white possessing more material which will lead to tal's victory

This isn't dead lost for black though right? After Kd8, if white promotes, black goes Kc7 and white is forced to choose between escaping with his new queen or trading both off anyways. If White takes queen instead, then Kc7 anyways to stop the promotion and black is only down 1 point of material, and the rook is only a couple moves from taking the pawn to even it up.
@jaydenkumar4695
@jaydenkumar4695 4 ай бұрын
Nah cuz after Kd8, white promotes with check, then you can take the rook with check. After that you take queen & you’re up two pieces, you’d have to sell hard to lose that lol

After king d8 & pawn g8 you have to either pin the bishop and give up the queen or play king c7 and lose the rook with check and then the queen. The best move is to give up the rook and queen then go in to an endgame with a knight & bishop vs 2 knights and bishops.

Bro there was no option for the opponent other than taking the queen if he dint take queen of Tal and tried to capture the pawn then he would lose his unprotected queen and if he took the queen of Tal he loses the way he actually lost it was a lose lose for the opponent anyway. LOL black is getting checked by pawn promotes to queen, then losing their queen right on the next move after escaping with their king. This is GM level chess game. Being down a queen with your back rank being ravaged by a queen chasing a king is pointless to continue, it's a mate in a few more moves.
